Worth it if you get a good deal.
rowey230181on 04/04/2017 13:42Although not in Otsu it's close enough to visit Kyoto 4 stops and stay in this very large hotel. Has some very nice but expensive restaurants with not much close by. Pricey spa services, a pool and a small but nice bar.
Resort hotel near Kyoto
ananasjapanon 01/03/2017 11:58If you are planning a kyoto trip, this is very convenient place to start. The room size is much much bigger and price is much much cheaper! It takes 30 min from Kyoto Station but it's worth it.
It is nicely situated next to Biwa lake. There are several restaurants to choose but I recommend Teppanyaki with lake view. You can taste Oomi beef, one of the best beef in Japan.
The Spa is very famous and worth trying.

Craig Con 17/01/2017 08:13Large place that was nearly empty in late January. Very reasonable price. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Great view of the lake. Several high end restaurants. Staff were very helpful ( as are all staff at all Japanese hotels but had limited English. Parking included and onsite. Recommended.

H Won 04/11/2016 22:31This is a lovely large hotel with wonderful accommodations. The large lobby is very inviting with fresh flower arrangements and gleaming decor.
The room I stayed in was very large with plenty of work and relaxing space. A valet escorted me to my room and was very helpful. Toiletries are provided in the rooms. I had dinner last night at a restaurant that is in the building and it was wonderful. I'd love to stay here again.
