Star Hotel with an Awesome View

Located on Dalhousie Khajjiar road this hotel is a beautiful set up in upper Kajjiar overlooking the valley .Located in the Khajjiar reserve forest area gives you an amazing setup will all urban amenities .Perfect for bird watch and if you are lucky on clear day you can see the snow capped mountains on far north sitting in your room.

Pros :
Rooms are big and spacious with nice sitting area and big wardrobe
Its 1.5 hours drive from Dalhousie and 4-5 km from Khajjiar Lake .Its location also give you oppertunity to visit nearby Kalla top ,Joat and of course the ancient city of Chamba which is like an hour drive from the place.
Room service is good and very responsive the guy name Surinder is like a one man show who can almost trouble shoot all your needs.
Food is a bit expensive as you can expect as in a remote location but quantity and quality is excellent.
The breakfast served also have good combination of north Indian and continental stuff.
The place is really good to relax ,very quite and full of natures glory around as sun and clouds play around the whole day.

Cons:
Bathrooms needs some renovation and more cleaning .Few light were not working and TV set in one of the room was not connected so advice you to check rooms before getting in.
This hotel have 4 floors and does not have a lift so it is difficult for elderly to climb steep steps
Rooms in upper floors give excellent view

We visited and stayed here in last week of April 2017,
we found the rooms were clean adequately lit ( big windows ) and light, rooms also had a heater, Bath and toilets need to be well lit and ventilated as it was stuffy inside,

The room had a TV cable connection both of them in working condition , hence did not feel the need the followup to the staff to start it, my room received WIFI signal so connectivity was not a issue.
The view from the gallery is great, you can see snow covered peaks and in right conditions watching sunrise is amazing.
Food quality is great, hotel has it own bakery so you make get fresh baked cakes and sandwiches for breakfast along with tea or fruit juice,
Staff is courteous, helpful,
Hotel has a games room, we found it helpful as it rained heavily during our stay, and it saved us from getting bored
The hotel is a bit away from Khajjiar lake, and hence a peaceful place,
one note to the hotel management, i would request some arrangement be made for the car drivers to stay/sleep for the night in side the hotel rather than in their vehicles

Very good location. Great ambience. And amenities. We had our breakfast and dinner there. All the time they served delicious food. Specially the gulab jamuns were excellent. The staff was very friendly and also gave advice where to travel in khajjiar and which were the must visit place .We had a memorable stay here. We came there in April 2017. But it was chilled though.

The hotel staff is very cordial, helpful and soft spoken. The buffet is filled with variety of options all of which are healthy and tasty. You need not worry about the food and the hotel ambience and staff.

For those coming from the big metro cities, this is perhaps the best of what you can find to relax and have a peaceful time.

The view from the hotel is just breathtaking especially at the night when the snow on the mountain shines under the moon light!!!!!!!

Majority of the people opt to stay in Dalhousie for the reason that the market is out there. But, I feel this place, a bit away from the crowd is worth more than the others.

I recently stayed here & have only good things to say about my stay ... Always find the staff very courteous & willing to help . Had a room with a good location from the room .. outside also it was fabulous .
