We stayed at this hotel for the first week in June and had the most wonderful time, we were so sad to have to leave. Barbara and her team were amazing and worked so incredibly hard. They really made our stay here. Our three year old daughter was truly made to feel like royalty at Hotel Royal Suite, which was lovely as it wad her first holiday. She was given the name Princess by Barbara and she now definitely thinks she is one, they certainly boosted her confidence and brought her out of her shy shell! The food was delicious with plenty of options, including plenty of child friendly favourites! I cannot praise the staff here enough... the staff in the restaurant were always friendly and smiling, the cleaners too! The majority of the reception staff were lovely. There was just one lady who worked on reception who I found to be rude. Our 3 year old was doing her best to enthusiastically learn Spanish and was trying to use it as much as possible. She spoke to the lady simply by saying Hola and the lady bluntly responded with... Don't speak Spanish to me. Something I found to be rather rude and confusing for a three year old in a Spanish island. Regardless of that individual incident everyone else and everything else was great, and it certainly did not ruin our stay and it wouldn't stop us from staying again!
just back home from a weak away June 17 had a great time the hotel is clean with good space in the rooms witch included a separate living room, there's no air-conditioning in the rooms but with fans on the ceiling it cools quite well. Going all-inclusive was good too as the drinks were fine as was the food, although if you were late in the dining room the food would be sometimes cold. The outside pool was great fun and the entertainment teem was great and fun too. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a good clean reasonable hotel for the price
From the moment we entered the hotel to the time we left we were thoroughly looked after by all staff from reception who would answer any questions you had from which
buses to catch ordering taxis information on best places to shop best beaches on the island anything at all .The bar staff were always polite and helpful did a good job at serving the drinks at busy times keeping the tables clear of empty glasses in the evening and the restaurant staff also did a good job keeping the restaurant clean and tidy the Chefs did a great job with the quality of the food and presentation really enjoyed all meals we had there always plenty to choose from especially enjoyed the paellas and fresh salads ,Maids did a good job keeping our room clean always had clean towels the whole hotel was clean at all times we were there ,And to save the best to last the Animation Team absolutely fantastic been to many hotels all over Spain and I have to say the Animation team at the Royal Suite Hotel are the best I have every come across they kept us entertained all day and night they did an excellent job they really go the extra mile to kept us all entertained we made new friends when joining in the activity's during the time we were there all in all great holiday. I do think that the hotel should put some sort of air conditioning or cooling fans where the entertainment is held in the evenings it got real hot in there in the evenings for customers and staff and the main pool area would benefit from having the floor around pool repainting just to make it look better but even if it was the same next year I would defiantly return to this hotel in the future .
There is not a great deal to do in Costa Calma and if you are into shopping, this is not the place for you! However the hotel is lovely, rooms are comfortable and very clean - the maids were in everyday of our 10 night stay.
The restaurant is very pleasant with table cloths, so there is none of that "canteen" feel that some all inclusive hotels have (I'm thinking specifically of Club Mac in Alcudia, Majorca!). There was always a great selection of food - don't be expecting chips, burgers and chicken nuggets... do expect delicious paellas, grilled fish and meats, salads and typical Canarian bean stews, for example. We never had a day where we were unhappy with the food. We have two teenage boys and even they were happy! Good opening times for the restaurant too; breakfast served until 10am, lunch until 3pm, dinner until 9pm. Only negative would be the snacks, (if you were out and missed lunch, say) only a toastie machine and biscuits on offer. The poolside bar was self service and well stocked with local spirits, beer and wine on tap and sparkling wine. Also a great range of non alcoholic drinks, the kids had fun making their own cocktails. No-one seemed to go overboard with the drinks despite (or perhaps because of) it being a help yourself. We holidayed at the beginning of June, so early in the season and there were always plenty of sunbeds. Be aware that it is windy in Fuerteventura and hot! The wind can make it seem cooler so be careful not to get burned.
During the day, the Animation team are there to help you enjoy your holiday with table tennis, darts, football, basketball, tennis and french boules tournaments. Our boys really enjoyed themselves and made full use of Andrea and Bertram's time! All of the team are so friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to include you. There are regular yoga and exercise classes too, so everyone is catered for. As with most Animation teams, these guys work SO hard, but I have never, ever come across a team that put so much work into their evening entertainment! Yes, there is the normal mini disco, karaoke night and bingo but the highlights of the stay had to be the Variety show and the Musical show. The Musical show was fantastic - Chicago and Riverdance. Barbera really knows how to put the team through their paces (even rehearsing on their evening off!) and boy, does it show. Very enjoyable evening. So thank you to Barbera, Andrea, Bertram and Alessandra for looking after and entertaining us so well, you are all stars! Talking of stars, Manuel the barman is fabulous too, so hard-working and always smiling - a wee charmer!
All in all, we had a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable time, with no complaints.
Me and my boyfriend are just back from a fantastic week here at the Royal Suite - and what a week it was!
Set in a beautiful quiet location it was perfect for a couple who work hard and wanted to recharge!
The food had such a good selection - You can always find something!
The overall cleanliness is fantastic throughout the entire place!
But what really made our time was the Animation team! Made up of Barbora, Andrea, Bertrand and Allessandra they are all incredible! We formed a wee group with 3 other couples and the Animation team always came up to us and spoke to us and even invited us to a local bar! They all work incredibly hard and are lovely, funny people! The shows are amazing and the number of languages they include is brilliant! This team definitely makes this place amazing! Miss them already!
Definitely book this place if you are looking for a relaxing week in the sun!
