Luxurious and peaceful.
Peter Con 01/06/2017 11:10A beautiful hotel in tranquil surroundings. Although I expect the area is much busier in high season we found the area very quiet and safe with minimal traffic and easily found on street free parking.
The staff at reception were efficient and pleasant and our room exceptional.
Nothing was lacking in the room and the bed very comfortable and we had an excellent nights sleep. No external traffic noise at all.
The public rooms are well appointed with a lovely terrace overlooking a herd of cows(artificial!) and the promenade and bay.
The restaurant is expensive but there are plenty of alternatives in the area.
Wonderful hotel - great Thalasso treatment
HCT0815on 23/05/2017 17:00My wife and I decided to visit the Bretagne (F) for a Thalasso treatment. We booked into the *****-hotel "Hotel Barriére Le Royal. They have a star chef with an outstanding kitchen. I will enjoy the hotel's known food after my therapy. Rooms, Service and Therapy are outstanding.
Relaxing moments.
pialeonon 11/05/2017 11:17We had a very relaxed moment at the Royal Barriere. Outstanding service offered by the hotel employees. Near the beach. Luxurious rooms.The hotel restaurant is not great, but they have a beach restaurant called le ponton and this one is very good.
Disappointing spa
Debtherebon 25/04/2017 08:49Friendly reception. Superior room is actually standard and a underwhelming. The shower was the best bit. The carpet was pale which is a poor choice as they were some dirt marks on it. I would say the hotel is very clean though overall. Breakfast was in nice surroundings and good. The situation of the hotel is beautiful. Over a busy road to an excellent fine sandy beach. Very nice grounds and outdoor pool. The spa was very disappointing and we didn't appreciate being stared at by three pool attendants who seem to sit in a cocky manner and gossip about the guests. Seems overstaffed on the pool. It is not clear how you use the water jets etc. No one helps you and we gave up in the end. It seems you can only use the jets etc in with a group and under timed conditions.
Did expected better

Prices are really high and more than in Dubai palaces without the service.!
First we were really surprised that the rooms are not ready before 16h0. Very unusual for a hotel of that standard as it is normally 15h00. Reservation should mentioned it when booking as we have to wait 2 h in the bar.
Reception staffs were not that great and forgot a few times what was request.
The voiturier was really good.
The bar is overprice, €18.00 for a small Negroni! €15 in Dubai or London places.
Rooms are ok but very small and twice came back to our room at 16h00 and was still not made while leaving at 10h00.
I think it is the place if you want direct access to thalassotherapy but not for a relaxing stay.
And to finish I never seen so many pets staying in a hotel! Not sure this is very hygienic.
Can they really clean the room properly after they stay?...
