Wonderful apartments-great location

What an amazing find. I stayed here with my Mum & Daughter for one night in April while passing through Finisterre to break the journey back to the ferry. I booked a two bedroom apartment which overlooked the pool above the reception area. There were lifts for those that have difficulty with stairs. Beautiful selection of comfortable high quality self catering apartments, light and airy, well equipped, spotlessly clean, great location one row back from the stunning Benodet seafront and promenade, very easy to find at the bottom of the main road leading to the seafront. Parking was off street and plentiful which I was greatful for as I had cycles and a roof box on the car. Staff were friendly and helpful pointing out shops, boulangerie, etc on a map of the town. Check in/out was hassle free. Wi-fi worked well in the apartment and the reception area, I don't know if there is wi-fi in the apartments blocks further away from the reception area. Overall extremely pleased. Those that are staying longer please note that there is no oven but there is a hob, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. I would definitely recommend these apartments and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for a holiday or an overnight stop.

Fabulous location well equiped apartment

Beautiful part of Brittany. Shame that great weather isn't a given. Luckily the heated pool, sauna and steam room were freely available when it was too chilly to sit on the beach.
The reception staff were all really helpful and knowledgeable about the locality. Their English was amazing.
Carrefore is the local supermarket but prices are steep in this area. The best bakery is next door to the supermarket.
The apartment we had was compact but had everything we needed for a week for a family of 6. The wifi was very good.
Nearby restaurants were on the sea front and their prices reflected their location. The best meals we had were at Dolce Vita. We visited 3 times in a week. The service was excellent and the pizzas out of this world.
All in all a lovely week. We preferred the white sandy, quiet beaches at Beg Meil but the location of this hotel is perfect for access to the beach across the road.
We probably won't visit this area again but i have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to first time visitors to the area.

Bénodet

We stayed in Bénodet for a week in mid September and selected Les Jardins d'Arvor as our base. It's in an excellent location, just a short walk from the beach & restaurants. The apartment was really nice & clean with everything you would need. It was big enough to sleep 6 people! There were just 2 of us and it was perfect. The swimming pool was very nice and the temperature just right and a nice sun area as well. Wi-Fi was available at reception only which was a small bit annoying as you had to go downstairs whenever you wanted a connection. Speaking of Reception the staff were very pleasant and obliging. Bénodet is a lovely spot with some fine walks along the sea front. Nice restaurants and interesting shops. There a market on Monday which is worth a visit - skip breakfast that day!

Ideal for family self catering

We had two weeks here in July. It was excellent and the admin side of the complex was far less onerous than the place we stayed last year - that gave a bit of a false idea of how officious self catering in France can be!
The complex is in a great location just across the road from the beach. There are restaurants and cafes in easy reach. Benodet does not have a large number of shops or a main "high street" but the complex has a bakery opposite the main entrance and there is a Carrefour supermarket about 5 minutes away by car. Ravelec traiteur is excellent - it is about a 15 minute walk away and 5 minutes by car. There is a really good bakery next to the Carrefour that also has a brilliant patisserie. The market comes to Benodet every Monday. There is also a nice fish shop and numerous chemists. Just outside the pedestrian gate there is a row of clothes shops that includes Armorlux as well as a paper shop and beach essentials shop.
The beach is lovely and sandy. There is a lifeguard on duty in the summer months. There is a lovely walk way around the bay and down to the old port. The walkway also joins onto a walkway along the river and next to woodland. You can get a passenger boat across to Sant Marine which has some lovely cafes and creperies. The Vedette D'Odet leave from the old port and a trip on one of them is worth a try. There is also the tourist train around town which is fun.
The complex is clean and well maintained. The swimming pool is heated and a decent size although serious swimmers should avoid busy times as there is no lane swimming. The sauna and steam room are open when the pool is and are free to use.
We had a 6 person ground floor apartment. We were lucky that the weather was good so we could use our outside space a huge amount. There is patio furniture supplied. The living space was quite small and if there had been 6 in the apartment it would have been a squash. The living room also had a table and chairs plus kitchenette area. There were more than enough plates, glasses etc supplied. There was also a coffee machine, kettle and toaster. We brought our own sharp knife. There is only a hob and microwave so self catering cooking options are limited. There is a dishwasher. The sofa was comfortable and doubles as a sofabed. The TV was good but only has French channels. The main bedroom had a kingsize bed and en suite shower. The other bedroom had twin beds. The main bathroom had a bath with shower, sink and WC. There was also a separate WC in the hallway. There was enough cupboard space for the three of us but again if there were more people staying in the flat storage could be an issue. The flat was very clean.

Like most self catering you could pay for an end of stay clean which we did. You have to make up the beds on arrival. Baby kit (cots/high chairs) are free and subject to availability. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Quite a laid back approach was taken to check out inspection. There is ample car parking.

We are hoping to go back again next year as this place really suited our needs and we enjoyed it very much.
