Perfect for Us!

I was skeptical when I booked this apartment hotel for our Europe trip last summer because of the reviews. We were quite surprised! Unless you're paying a premium, expect Paris hotels/apartments to be basic. Our room was more than what we expected and needed. It has a living area with pull-out sofa, kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator (which we used a lot to have cool drinks ready before heading out). To go to main bedroom (ours with 2 twin beds), go a half flight of stairs. Our kids find this room set-up interesting. Bathroom is tiny but adequate and separate from restroom. Hotel is clean enough (please don't expect it to be squeaky clean like your own home). Internet was spotty. This was a perfect home base for us because of location. Very close to Notre Dame, literally a few steps to St. Severin Church and if you're hungry, restaurants, bakeries and grocery stores are all close by. Metro is also in close proximity. The location felt safe even at night. We liked this apartment so much that when going back to Paris, I will not even look at any other hotels/apartments any more.

The front desk gentleman was incredible. So kind and helpful with everything.

Very clean and the water pressure is marvelous and it gets is VERY hot. I mean really, be careful because it could genuinely burn you.

Beautiful fully equipped kitchenettes and an excellent cafe for your morning coffee right downstairs.

It is an old building so I would not recommend it if you are elderly or handicapped but they do have an elevator for baggage and one person can fit at a time.

5 stars for service, location, and overall comfort!

Location perfect - suspicious smell

The bad stuff: The family room with two bedrooms is dark, feels like a basement (half of it actually is), something viscious is growing on the bathroom wall and it smells too, the carpet made our feet itch - maybe some chemicals..?. The plastic roof in above the sofa was leaking when it was raining and the thin roof made it hard to sleep during rain, it was very noisy, so were our neighbours too.

The good stuff: This hotels best fearure is the location, very central, nice restaurants and a supermarket around the corner, close to the metro and airport train. It is spacious and has two bathrooms, the little kitchen was perfect.

If you're an adult who likes your independence, this is the place for you. Zac is incredibly lovely and is there if you need help, but is also not intrusive unlike many hotel staff. Our room was perfectly located (we walked to most places, including the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame, but then we walked a fair bit). Great service. Apartment fantastically priced for its size and there was even room for us to fit a 3rd person in comfortably if we had wanted. It had everything you need to survive. I loved the little 2 person lift and we easily used it to send the luggage down (me + 1 large piece at a time). I honestly can't really fault this place that much, but then we also knew what to expect in Paris.

This isn't a hotel for everyone

A stay at this hotel is more like living in a small studio rather than having normal hotel services. The room is small but includes a refrigerator, microwave, dishware, silverware, a kitchen sink and a dinette set. The bed was a hide-a-bed. The bathroom was tiny. The room is not cleaned every day and the linen is not changed. But you are in a great location with the Metro about 50 yards away and bordering the Latin Quarter. There is a grocery around the corner and Notre Dame about a 10 minute walk. If you want to pretend that you are a Parisian for a couple of days - complete with the inconveniences of everyday life, you will be happy here.
