great view, rest so so
YigalMon 18/07/2016 23:28I have stayed in roc e mare for 5 nights with my wife an daughter, in a T2 apartment which has two bedrooms. The two bedrooms are in the second floor, with one f them containing a double bed, and the other a bunk bed, which wasn't quite fit for grown up daughter. So she stayed downstairs in the living room, which was spacious enough. There is a single bathroom downstairs, which is a major problem, as the stairs are narrow and going down at night to the bathroom requires hanging on to the rail, very inconvenient. One thing that should be noted is that while the kitchen has enough dishes and utensils, there was nothing else in the apartment when we arrived. So prepare to bring your own toilette paper, dish detergents, condiments, etc. Since we arrived late night, this was not an option . That apartment had a very nice terrace, overlooking the Mediterranean, and it was great eating your meals there. Internet was pretty lousy, the only reliable place was near the lobby, not in the apartment.
Beautiful quiet and idyllic.
goodadvice3000on 19/10/2015 16:09Worth it for the view from the apartments. Quiet but bay in cargese five minutes away has restaurants and boats. Need a car really. Self catering and people very nice. Swimming pool. Still exploring - day 2 only downside- bathroom downstairs from bedrooms but there are also bigger apartments definitely worth a look
Probably the best apartment we have stayed in
70John70on 30/06/2015 16:25We spent 5 nights in this spacious well designed apartment and enjoyed it enormously. Lots of storage and shelves, good shower room, very well equipped kitchenette and large balcony with fabulous view. All so good that we ate in every night! Good swimming pool and helpful staff. Excellent WiFi. Downsides for some would be the road noise (tho' not at night) and the lack of air-conditioning - a common issue in France but a fan would help on hot nights. Good for two walkers without a car with easy access to village, walks and beaches.
Views to die for!
SpinxWaleson 31/08/2014 19:29Visited for a second time this August and was not disappointed following our first visit in 2006. Our accommodation was a two bedroom two storey apartment with large living room, balcony and excellent kitchen - with full cooking facilities. All apartments have sea views which are spectacular. There is a small pool with lounger facilities.
The apartments are located on the edge of the village of Cargese within easy walking distance of the centre where there are all the usual shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a sizeable supermarket (Spar) within the village.
I can recommend this residence for both couples and families.
Roc E Mare, a little magical place
Jan Non 07/10/2013 12:08I’ve been staying a number of times at Residence Roc E Mare over the past years & it has never been disappointing so highly recommended if you’re looking for an accommodation to stay in Cargèse!
The apartments are always nice & tidy and have all modern conveniences like TV, Wi-Fi and the kitchen is featured with an oven, microwave, refrigerator & coffee machine. It has a clean & functional bathroom/shower combination, a separate bedroom, all really okay.
With each apartment overlooking the sea the Residence is situated beautifully (the sunrise in the morning is well……amazing….!). Plenty of room to park your car & of course the swimming pool, available at all times!
It’s just a minute walk from the village where there are many fine restaurants, nice little shops & supermarkets (Carrefour, Spar) or if you just want to go for a coffee! For you pizza fans…some restaurants do deliver at the apartment, nice one! The wonderful beach (Plage du Pero) is also not too far away but a bit longer if you decide to walk.
The staff is very friendly and always helpful when needing anything! So all in all a very relaxing & a little magical place to spent your holiday the Corsican way…..!
