Another great weekend getaway
Y6824KCandrewon 16/08/2017 06:02This was our second time staying at the Ruidoso Mountain Inn. Our stay was nearly perfect. The hotel accommodations were comfortable and quiet. Wish we could have stayed longer. The only shortcomings were that the shower kept sliding open due to the curtain rod mounts. The bed is worn-out. Somewhat comfortable but should be replaced. Last is the bedding is also thinly worn. I'm sure the hotel management will probably update these issues in the near future. I do plan on returning.
View of Nature
Roseoceanon 13/08/2017 22:47As you walk in your view of nature is a site. You are on the second story with a view of the mountains. It has several areas where you can sit and enjoy a group conversation or just to hang out. If you like to gamble that just steps away from the lobby. The rooms to get are those with a view to the lake. The peaceful water calms you to the environment. The room is comfortable.
Nice, pleasant stay.
amberm367on 10/08/2017 05:01We spent 2 nights here and were very happy. The hotel is clean, staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable. They provide a nice selection for breakfast, and it's free. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy, with great Wi-Fi coverage . We didn't care for the pillows as they went flat easily but we always bring our own to combat that issue. The rates were reasonable for midweek at the end of the summer season before school starts.
Only suggestion we have for management is perhaps painting the rooms and updating the carpet. Otherwise, it's a nice place to stay and one that we'll b staying at again.
Stay here out of desperation not preference
D'Auna Lon 17/07/2017 19:32I waited until the last minute to book a room on a Saturday evening and there were only 3 options. I thought this was the best of the 3... wish I would have picked Motel 8. I gave it a 2 star because location is good, lobby clean, & check in was quick. I could post a hundred pictures of bad things. Drapes were gross. Mattresses old. Carpet old. Just dirty and the maintenance/repair crew doesn't do a good job at all. They had random stuff stored under stairwell and covered with blue tarp. Dirty towels laying around outside. Exterior side doors weren't ever locked. Breakfast.... well the cereal was ok. Apples were at least a week old... shriveled up and discolored. Like I said... if it's your only option or extremely cheap (I paid $200! Not cheap!) you will live through the night otherwise stay somewhere if you can.
Comfortable & Decent Priced Hotel For Peak Season Travel
LettyTaoson 11/07/2017 03:16For the busy month of July, when prices are high in Ruidoso, this was a decent hotel for the price. It was almost $40 less than similar hotels in the area.
Our room was very clean and I had one of the best night's sleep in a hotel; comfy bed, pillows, and great air conditioning.
Although the hotel was sold out on this Saturday evening, it was quiet and peaceful throughout. We were even up very late doing laundry, walking back and forth from one end of the hall to the other, and rarely ever saw another person.
Yes, the pool was out of service, but it was a beautiful cool evening and we spent some time enjoying the hot tub.
There were yummy cookies at check-in, which never ran out, and great front desk service!! (Polite young man who never tired of giving us change for the laundry machines). Also, a kind and helpful cleaning staff who answered our questions about the laundry area.
The breakfast was more than I expected. Tasty gravy, sausage, waffles, potatoes, eggs, coffee, along with cereal choices, boiled eggs, toast, bagels, biscuits, yogurt, apples and juice; again, constantly replenished.
Wi-fi worked great, too.
We would stay here again.
