I have organized a company trip to this resort.
The ambiance of this property is amazing which will be complimented by the climate if you choose your travel time wisely.
foggy and drizzling mornings are awesome here.
I have been here back in 2008 and went their again for a property visit they have maintained it pretty awesome.
No walkin guests entertained.
They served food in earthern bowls and each and every dish were damn good.
All the cottages are around a natural pool which is adding to the charm of the property.

sad that i cannot organize one trip to here as my company had grown big and they haven't expanded their resort.. :)
definitely a must go if you have the budget to go. costwise It is slightly on the higher side.

A Perfect Getaway!

Its a huge 18 acres of property covered with lush green tea gardens, plantations, lake and with lovely view. The Hideout have No TVs, No Phones policy which makes the place a perfect hideout away from world.
The cottage with lake view are the best. The staff makes some amazing food and are very helpful with always a smile.
We spend 2 nights in SAJ, they have some activities like boating, camp fire, batminton, billiards, Table Tennis etc. Such activities always keeps you engaged the entire day.
The place is neat and tidy and quiet.
Note : The SAJ hideout do not entertain walk inn guest therefore it is better to you book prior.

Neat little place in an idyllic setting

Vagamon is like a hidden gem deep in Kerala's mountains. The drive to Vagamon is itself breathtaking passing varied landscapes. Saj Resort is a neat little place in Vagamon- ideally located from all the tourist spots. The property is nestled away from crowded tourist spots, amidst the hills. Built around a man made lake, there are 16 cottages. The lake view cottages are good, clean and comfortable. What made the difference here was the staff- they were outstanding and very helpful. Food is something one has to mention- the sheer effort they took in cooking for just three of us was amazing. Lots of simple vegetarian food (since we chose a vegetarian option). I must mention Mr. Ajay and Mr. Subin who were so gracious and helpful. In the evening, we were accompanied to all the tourist spots. Unfortunately we could not take advantage of the trekking and mountain walk services provided due to lack of time, but I'm sure it would be worth it. Rooms are simple, clean and aesthetic, as long as you do not expect five star rooms. The whole experience was wonderful and absolutely worth the money one spent. Vagamon is a lovely unexplored place worth visiting. If you're going to Vagamon, stay at Saj…it is worth your while.

peaceful resort

The best highlight of the place has to be it's staff. We travelled as a family of four, with an elder and I cannot thank the staff more for their kindness and warm service. The resort has 16 cottages overlooking the property's lake. Saj vagamon is a very interesting resort, in between plush green hills of Vagamon and their own tea estate. Boating and fishing facilities are available in the lake- it is so beautiful that we did not feel like stepping out! Food is simple and adequate- great home cooked and local flavours and plenty of dishes for vegeterains as well. I would have preferred if the room had larger windows for more light and the bath room more storage space, but who cares about the room, in a setting like this. Special mention of the staff supervisor Ajay Rai and his team of young energetic staff who are always ready to help... I will certainly come back here!

Truly unbelievable experience

They are simply awesome. very cordial, well-behaved stuff. They even provide accommodation for your driver, which really was helpful, given that this location is indeed in the middle of nowhere. Completely secluded from the nearest town, this place is nestled right in the midst of nature. The small lake located right at the heart of the coffee estate really adds to the beauty of this place. One can take a morning stroll along the pathway that passes across this property, heading straight into the hills. Really amazing views at the end of the road.
