What People are saying

Romantic room for his birthday!

douglum2015on 06/04/2017 00:30

I took my husband to Salishan for his birthday and the room was perfect! nice lodge feel with a fireplace and comfy bed. perfect location for golf and beach all in one. went to the Bay House for dinner just down the street, perfect.

Lovely property

Overall really enjoyed our stay. It's a 20+ minute hike to the beach, but the overall property is beautiful. Very thin walls and we definitely heard the people moving around upstairs so we will be sure to request a top floor room next time. Electric car owners will be happy to know they have a NEMA 14-50 in a parking place at the Tides building - this was a nice surprise. Staff was warm and nice. We didn't try the food as prices were roughly double other local fare - don't miss the Side Door Cafe. The pool was nice and warm, clean and very nice. There were abundant towels provided but they are all dish towel sized which makes drying off awkward and not in line with a 4 star property. Jacuzzi was only 102 and the jets were quite weak. The room was nicely appointed and quite comfortable. We had some trouble with the wifi. Gas fireplace in the room made it so cozy!

Quiet, relaxing, and nicely renovated

mandypdxon 29/03/2017 03:35

I stayed there years ago, and while it was nice, it was getting a little rough around the edges. They have done a great job with renovations, maintaining the woodsy Northwest ambiance with tasteful upgrades like wood floors and headboards, granite countertops, and better carpeting.

We loved walking around the grounds and beach. The pool area was pretty kid-tastic, but it was Spring Break and to be expected. I had a nice solo time in the large hot tub, though.

Our room looked out over some trees with the fairway in the distance, and although we decided the golf course view was probably the best (and far enough from the noisy highway), we loved our room for its privacy and quiet. We had a traditional room on the second floor, which I imagine is a lot better than the first floor because of the vaulted ceilings. A top floor Deluxe or Premier room would be quite a bit bigger and probably worth it, but our room was really cozy and large enough for the two of us and our dog. We also got a great deal on Hotwire, which definitely increased the bang for our buck. Definitely look around for deals.

Room service was surprisingly tasty as well, and all of the staff we encountered were kind and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended.

birthday get away

The room was nice but... It had a portable crib in it when we arrived and used toilet paper in the toilet, don't know why. Too bad the noise was so bad. We had a bay forest view room bottom floor next to the parking lot. Very noisy, The room above us had kids running around until 10 pm and it started up again at 6 am. The fireplace was rattling from all the thumping of someone running back and forth above our heads. I asked the front desk in the morning for another room but there were not any available. Not the romantic weekend I had planned.

Terrible staff and poor customer service

Sarah Aon 18/03/2017 03:09

I will never return to Salishan again and I will be sure to let friends and family know it's no longer a quality place to stay. The staff currently working at Salishan needs to go through some customer service training. None of the staff is on the same page and a lot of important information is falling through the cracks when it comes to customer satisfaction.
