Not for the fine dinning crew! Clean, comfortable, hot shower, tv, phone.
Cell phones have NO reception!! Land lines in the rooms. But there is wifi.
Bar open only on weeekends. Dogs allowed w.stipulations.
No food is offered here, coffee in am if you want to make it but no milk!
Inn is great building built in 1700's updated but original wood planking.
Quite rooms, comfortable beds, check in is a bit different, keys sometimes are left on front desk. Gentlemen isn't chatty at ALL! Some rooms sleep a lot others smaller.

Found this location via expedia when looking for last minute properties to stay in this general vicinity. It's off on its own but I love non traditional hotels so this fit the bill. You go into the restaurant to check in. The person that helped me was very personable and friendly. My room ended up being in the carriage house. When i opened the room door was pleasantly surprised to see the size of it and decent size bathroom as well. All very spacious, especially for one person. Only thing I would note is that the room was very cold when I got there, eventually heated up to a comfortable temperature. Had a good meal at the restaurant as well, very convenient that way. Also close to Killington and just a generally beautiful area. Glad to have come across it.

Oh dear, what a disaster

Where to begin...let's start with the Inn itself. It's freezing, there's a nice woodburning stove in the lobby, but no fire in it. There's no one to check us in, the bartender has to call the owner and ask how to do it. The room is...well, pretty bad. Bathroom is straight from a trailer with the tiniest shower imaginable. It was at least quasi clean. Maid service was off and on and getting fresh (thin & rough) towels wasn't easy. For the location and the potential this place has to be great, I was sadly disappointed. I promise I won't be back! :-(

DIRTY AND DISGUSTING

Check out our review on Expedia with pictures. snow not removed and no onsite innkeeper. Stayed in loft over bar, 3 beds. 51 degrees at check in. Gross stains on bed and furniture, we slept on top of our sheets in clothes. bathroom drain backed up. toilet brown. we left after one night but non-refundable policy mean we forfeited other nights. We are ski family perfectly fine with 2 or 3 star accomodations as long as it is clean. Avoid.

evening in Vermount

Walked in to an empty cold building that looked like a bar/restaurant with CLOSED written on the chalk board above the bar. We walked around looking for someone and could not find the innkeeper. I noticed a key and a sheet of paper on a table. It was a note welcoming us and the key to our room. Upstairs we found the room, again cold. I found a thermostat, and got the heat going, however it was limited to 68 degrees. Great for sleeping, but not for a shower. The room and bath were ok and the bed comfortable. Next morning again no one around so I made some coffee per instructions on the wall. It maybe a good place to stay during the summer or perhaps for winter sports, however I did not feel we were treated correctly, not for the price charged. Book through Expedia. The reviews are not true.
