This hotel needs some critical updates. It's way too gaudy and gimmicky!

The shower is digital, the soap/shampoo dispenser is actually attached to the wall. The carpet felt icky, like it had been there for 30 years. And the bed....my God before laying down I could see the body impressions. They do not offer comforters. Just sheets.

When you walk down the very long hall to your room, it's a little impressing (the entry chandelier, the old Europe cafe feel) and then you're overcome with all the plastic foliage, and creepy statues.Then, you enter your room. You're greeted by the smell of a 1970's motel. You see a big, green jacuzzi tub with calcium stains and gold fixtures and mirrors everywhere. It was overwhelming and uncomfortable.

This hotel is gross. I wouldn't stay here again even if it were free.

This was my second visit to this hotel and I will not return.
Three adults and only king bedrooms were available when I booked this room in November for a June wedding. I asked for 2 large comforters to make the sofa bed more comfortable.
The mold on the shower glass was disgusting, rug dirty, coffee pot broken, and housekeeping never came to clean the room.

so I travel a lot for business, and many times when travelling to areas I am not that familiar with, I let Captain Kirk (yep, priceline) do the choosing for me. I have had good hotels, bad hotels and then there is this place.

for a business traveller, it's probably too much "bling" as all I am truly interested in is quality bedding, a clean room and a hot shower. they got this right as the room was clean, comfortable and the shower hot. it is, however, a bit dated. the AC unit is old and cantankerous and the check in process was slow. no major negatives to report though.

in the end, it's a unique place

Felt Like a 5 Star Hotel

We originally intended to stay here for one night but after checking in and seeing the hotel in person, we decided to extend our stay for a second night. The hotel resembles one you’d find in Europe. The exterior and interior areas of the hotel are particularly attractive. We even stayed in a suite for only $129 a night which was a bargain considering it reminded me of one that could be located in a luxury hotel. It was large, clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast offerings were substantial. I’d definitely stay here again if traveling through the area. My only complaint was related to some of the front desk staff who were particularly rude.

Some fundamentals lacking

Is this an original and unique hotel? Yes. But, it is lacking some bare basic necessities:

- There are no grab bars in the bathroom. For anyone "over 40," this is a real issue.

- There are no reading lights on the headboards or on the nightstand. Reading at night is impossible.

- The TP is abrasive. 'Nuff said.

- The shuttle that takes you from the hotel to the restaurant has a very high step in. Anyone with any kind of mobility issue can't get in.

- At 6am, music in the hallways goes on, and while there's nothing offensive about it, it's pretty loud for that time of morning.
