What People are saying
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE
Linamg32on 30/08/2017 17:19We were supposed to travel to India this sunday sept 3/17, a natural disaster is stopping us from doing so, Houston got flooded pretty bad, airports are closed indefinitely , thousands and thousands of people misplaced, thankfully we are ok but we cannot leave the city even if we would want to. We had to change our plane tix and other hotels in Udaipur, New Delhi, and Agra, they were all very understanding and switch our dates at no cost. Samode Haveli is keeping our money instead and refused to change our dates. Very sad situation, we were so excited to stay in this beautiful hotel, but glad we know never go there and we will make sure to let people know about their poor awful costumer service. We are Stunned to say the least.
EXOCTIC BUT HEARTLESS - DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!
linda son 30/08/2017 16:40We live in Houston where we are currently experiencing the worst flooding in 800 years. My house has two feet of water in it. All airports are closed and everything is completely under water. We are booked for this hotel for Sept 9-11, 2017, but because of this disaster, we have had to push our travel dates back about 3 weeks. We have reached out twice to the hotel to ask if they would please allow us to change our dates to Sept 27-29 with no fees or charges due to this natural disaster. They have flat out refused to consider it and informed me that they will keep the $305 we have already paid and then charge us another $300+ for the new nights which would make us end up paying over $600 total for two nights! I cannot believe that a hotel this nice and this highly rated, would be so heartless and inconsiderate! I fully understand non-refundable hotel policies, but I can't believe that there is no consideration for victims of this massive natural disaster!
Like an exotic dream come true!
camillehannahon 13/08/2017 08:57My sister and I only stayed one night at the Samode Palace, but it was still an unforgettable experience! Dripping with history and beauty, we were given a tour of the more private areas that were once graced by the Maharaja by a priest guide who also brought this history to life through various stories as we wandered through each area. History was also present in our exquisite room off the courtyard, our twin room was very luxurious and spacious, marble floors flowed into a separate dressing room area down a few marble steps and into a gorgeous bathroom, equipped with double sinks, shower and claw-foot bath - it was like stepping into another century and so luxurious. Staff were amazing, warm and hospitable and the dining room is superb, gold leaf lined walls reflecting chandeliers, equally beautiful at breakfast - which was delicious with both Indian and western options. We really enjoyed the peace and serenity here, after a very full holiday...just food and beverages by the gorgeous pool and dinner brought to our room with a candle lit lantern provided so that we could dine on our room balcony that overlooked the pool and mountains beyond - absolute magic! Monkeys wandering around the grounds walls are a delight to wake up to in the morning :) Will definitely stay here in two years for my 25th wedding anniversary!
Amazing Stay thanks Discover India Tours Pvt Ltd.
Manni Son 10/08/2017 08:31This was a delightful hotel, with beautiful rooms and a very peaceful atmosphere. the rooms are beautiful (the maharadjah's portrait hangs over your bed), the swimming pool is pure heaven, especially after a hot, tiring day of visits, great for laps, and has a jacuzzi in the middle, but most of all, the food is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE, the best we've had in our 3 weeks trip in India. Thanks DISCOVER INDIA TOURS for making my trip memoriable.
An excellent Heritage Hotel
Anurag Con 09/08/2017 03:37Me and my friend went to Samode Haveli as we really liked a watermelon drink when we visited the hotel in 2016. That one drink left such an influence on us that ww wanted to come back and we did. I personally liked the rooms with a small courtyard and beautiful gardens outside. Good spacious rooms and yummy food they served. The spa and yoga centre are few services you can avail other than the usual Gym and pool.
The only thing that i did not like is the support staff, the. support staff is not well groomed, i couldn't stand near him or her because they were stinking (not their fault) as they having been wearing same uniform. Few said they had only one uniform do washing it was difficult. I asked only because i got really furious when i asked for some fresh towels and a man who was drenched in sweat had kept the towels on his shoulder and i could actually see his sweat on the towels. I am a big hygiene freak and i refused to use the towel and gave him a class for few minutes. Well other than that samode is one place you should stay during your trip to jaipur, its quite and calm!!
