Nice hostel for a nice price

According to the Money it is tottaly Worth it because of its very central location. Easy to find and next to all the nightlife of the area. The only Think we considered a bit tiring is the noice. Take earplugs with you and maybe you can sleep. The personal is helpful and speak English and the wifi is reaching up to the rooms so i consider it a nice and easy choice if you re traveling with a low budget.

Bad service, excellent WiFi

I went over there last week, with some friends of mine. When we arrived in our rooms, there was no airconditioning. It was smoking hot! ( we even had to pay for a fan ourselves ).
At one day I wanted to eat some breakfast, when a lady came up to me and started to speak in Catalan. She didn't speak English, so I had to Google translate what se said.
I couldn't have breakfast, because I didn't pay for it. But I did?

One man was very kind to us. The guy who was doing the night shifts.
When I couldn't sleep because of the heath or something, I went down and chilled with him.
Also the WiFi was excellent.

So, my conclusion is; If this hostal takes more time for service ( speaking English ) and the quality of the rooms ( airconditioning ), it will be more pleasant to stay over there.

I moved here in a hurry as I had serious problems at pension El Cievro, see separate review. So having paid £33 per night for 7 days I expected good service. What I got was, the room was not cleaned, bed not made, towels not changed and bin not emptied for the entire stay, I even had to ask reception for a new loo roll. The room was like an oven with no ventilation and I note no heating for winter stays. The big window opened onto an enclosed court yard so no air flow even when wide open. I was given no paperwork just visa receipt. Also noisy at night with teenage groups staying. Think before you book, there is much better in town and much cheaper.

booked as a short break and what a surprise when we got there. the hostel had just been renovated from top to bottom everything was new and spotless
we got invited to join in the family and friends party for the official opening.and was handed plenty of food and complimentary drinks by Nuria and Daniel.
nothing was to much trouble we stayed for 3 nights and they were both excellent we only went out late 1 night to the town the other 2 nights we went out for tea then returned and stay in the bar till late with them both.
were returning again in august or early September as was made really welcome .
ignore all other previous reviews as that was under different management the hostel is now run by the original family owners and not leased out so you will be very surprised .
keep up the good work and will keep in touch via Facebook.

Value for money!

We booked our holidays (hols package) and started to read the reviews for the hotel. I do admit that I was horrified and expected the worse. However I must say that I was pleasantly suprised. To be honest, the hotel is very cheap, and considering that you should not expect the room to look like 3 start hotel. It was basic, yes, but clean and it was cleaned every day, our beds were made every day and towels changed too. The staff was very friendly and nice. It is family run hotel. I feel that some of the reviews here were just very very harsh and I do not find it fair or constructive. The hotel is in central location, and being in central location comes with a bit of noise in the night, but nothing majorly disturbing. If I was looking for hols on tight budget again, I would happily stay there again.
