What People are saying

Good location but very unhelpful staff

cel190on 20/08/2017 16:05

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights room and bathroom were clean and we had a balcony which looked onto the fountain across the street. The hotel is central to old town area and there are many restaurants, bars and shops closeby. Puerto banus is a 20min taxi drive away.Decor is outdated and cleaning staff bang at door loudly each morning obviously trying to get people out before 9am. You can easily hear all traffic and people on the streets talking.
There is no shampoo in the hotel rooms so make sure to bring your own.
Reception staff are very unhelpful the evening before we left we asked Sonya at reception could we arrange a taxi as we would be leaving at 6:45am she said she didn't know to come back in the morning. We came back in the morning and she told us to go stand in the street and we might get one.
We stood there for up to 15mins and not one taxi had passed.
Luckily a police vehicle had come along and we stopped them they told us there was a taxi rank straight down from the hotel which I'm sure that lady knew.
Only for meeting the police we would've missed our bus. This was the only dealing we had with reception staff besides checking in and it was not a great one as she couldn't even be bothered to tell us there was a taxi rank.

Stupidly I forgot my pouch with my jewellery in it I realised when I unpacked the next day(Thursday) I contacted the hotel straight away who advised they didn't have it when I said I defiantly left it there they eventually advised they had.

Susanna told me to email an address with my details and own home address and she would get it sent back straight away.

I didn't get any reply so I contacted the hotel to make sure they got it, spoke to Franceso who keep saying 'bye lady bye' and wouldn't even listen to me. I had to call him back 3 times before he would listen to me he told me Susanna would be in at 8am following morning and she would talk to me.

Rang that morning(Saturday) and asked to speak with Susanna I was informed by Sonya that Susanna was off until next Tuesday so obviously franceso was just trying to fib me off to the next person. Sonya told me I would need to contact a Spanish courier company yo get items shipped to Ireland. I said I had no problem paying but that Susanna had told me something completely different. Asked her if she knew any companies she said she didn't. She said shed get Susanna to contact me on Tuesday which I know wouldn't happen.

Luckily I seen a girl I know was in Marbella(thank you Facebook) holidaying so she kingly went to the hotel to pick it up for me but had to make two 20mins trips each way to the hotel as she needed proof of identity even though I had told them she would be calling. She said she could put me on phone but it was good enough. If not for her I think I would never have received my jewellery. Hotel is well located but the staff greatly leave the reputation of this hotel down in my opinion.

Super nice stay in your hotel and Marbella.

Very nice and tidy hotel just in the city center, nearby old town and beaches. Excellent breakfast, friendly personnel. Really worth your money. The renovated rooms are excellent, good beds and nice bathrooms. We warmly recommend.

Perfect location and wonderful staff!

We had to book last minute here after needing to move from apartment from hell in Benalmedena. Booked in and arrived next day with early check in available without extra charge. Fridge and safe at no extra cost. Staff wonderful very helpful and polite. Location is perfect in old town lovely to explore and only 5 min walk to the beach. Rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. Would definitely recommend for somewhere a little cheaper in Marbella to stay perfect base.

Location...and nothing else

City centre hotels...I don't expect a lot. Clean and friendly will suit me...this was neither. Rude staff at the desk...the males. Our room stank of smoke. Breakfast was dreadful and resulted in us going out for breakfast everyday even though included in our rate. Location was top class but I will never return
