Spacious grandeur

This a truly beautiful old building with charm, space and history. There are 11 large rooms and ours was facing the River Arno, with a large separate bathroom. It is very well located in the best district, Santo Spirito with easy walking access to the famous Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Patti and the sprawling Giardino Boboli.

Breakfast was good at 5 euro and the staff are excellent, friendly and very hospitable.

Just spent the weekend in this good value B&B, which is one floor of a palazzo with views over the Arno and is full of character. We had the very large room with the river view - it was basic and generally clean, but the view from the huge windows was the selling point. Bed slightly small for my 6ft4 husband. Hairdryer, TV but no fridge. Safe just big enough for wallets and passports, not laptops etc - but actually didn't have concerns about security. Very efficient online booking system; and efficient and helpful check in and check out. Didn't try breakfast - lots of other places to eat close by. Location is excellent - on a street with nice bars, cafes, restaurants and only 10 walk over the river to the centre of Florence. 15 mins walk from station.

This B&B is extremely well located for any tourist to this beautiful city .It is very close to cafes and restaurants , retail shops and the best gelateria in Florence . It is walking distance to all the beautiful sites of Florence .
The manager Tiziana is extremely helpful and was very accommodating in changing our room to one with the view of the Arno River . The room with the river view was special . The rooms are basic and the showers in the first room has low water pressure . This improved with the room change . This B&B has basic facilities , generally clean and the beds are good . I recommend to go elsewhere for breakfast .

Excellent location, comfortable sleep, super value and just up the road from the very best ice cream parlour I have ever visited in my life. On a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle but a short stroll from the main highlights of Florence, this hotel suited my 5 year old daughter and I perfectly for a couple of nights in Florence.

one interesting night

We visited Florence last year, early spring. We arrived by train very late in the city and walked a lot to the place where there was nobody at reception. When somebody came our room was occupied and they gave us at the same price a very tall and huge room (see foto) which really need some reparations on the painted ceiling. In contrast the bathroom was very small, built in some old dressing/closet. During the night it was pretty cold, despite the very hot heaters in the room. We did not eat in the morning. WiFi was working very poor, only in the lobby.
