What People are saying

Not a family Hotel even though they would reserve the room for a family

Made reservation for 3 rooms. After couple of days in the hotel and some tours it was time to relax in the hotel but they wouldn't allow our kids in the pool, saying it was a Adult hotel. It was a very bad experience because we went for a week and still had 4 days left. We had to move to another hotel. Other than that the hotel was beautiful but just for a weekend and the food was delicious.

Great location & hotel!

Stayed here recently while on a business trip through Central America. The hotel was booked for me so I did not have to go through the mess of the traffic in Guatemala City.

It was a really nice surprise. It was a Tuesday and therefore there were not a lot of other guests but this only made the stay better. What a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful view!

The hotel itself is located a little outside of Guatemala City and in the more rural area. The compound itself is well guarded and secure. Service at the reception was excellent and I was quickly on my way to my cabin I can say.

The cabin is spacious and has all facilities. Great bathroom and even a small deck to sit and enjoy the sunset. As mentioned the view is astonishing and as I was in Cabin 2 I could enjoy a lot of it!

On days that it is less busy the restaurant closes pretty early so be aware of that. It was an early dinner therefore but nevertheless the quality of the food was perfect! Compliments to the chefs!

Breakfast was included in my booking and this is available at any time you indicate.

All together a great place and a great experience. Will definately be back in the future!

Great views. Food and customer service need work

I took about 13 family members for a pool/spa day followed by a huge dinner. The views are incredible. Absolutely amazing. No complaints there. The pool was freezing. The jacuzzi was freezing. But we still had to pay Q155 per person to enter. If they would of told us the pool and jacuzzis were cold we wouldn't of bothered and just continued to the restaurant. But they didn't, they took our money and none of us were able to tolerate the water. Even our British friends who swore it wasn't that cold, didn't get it. We decided to just forget about the pool and go eat.
The food was not that great for what they are charging. Canned sauces and hot dogs in the lasagne. Overly cooked salmon that was dry and tough. My nephews liked the sandwiches but again the prices were really high for what we got. Wonder bread with the crusts cut off.
We brought up the pool/spa temps issue with the front desk to see if there was anything he could do since we didn't use any of it. He refused and kept saying that they are an eco hotel and he doesn't control the sun. I don't control the moon but that doesn't have anything to do with what I was asking. I got laughed out of the lobby by two dudes and the front desk guy.
The place is beautiful. Totally worth another visit. I just moved here from the US and could see myself becoming a regular. But they really need to teach their staff how to resolve problems better or empower them to do so. And maybe try to make people feel more welcome and less like a criminal. I get it. I'm tattooed all over my chest, arms and ribs. But that doesn't mean you have to follow me everywhere. Will I come back? Nah.

So to sum it up:
Food - you're better off bringing in your own.
Pool/spa - they charged us for things we didn't use
Front desk staff - a bit cold and dismissive. I got laughed at for bringing up my concerns.
Restaurant staff - awesome, helpful, kind and really tried to help us out

RELAXATION AT IT'S BEST

Stayed one night and had an amazing experience. Got there just in time to enjoy the beautiful sunset from the main Deck. Later that night got to try several of their dishes and was satisfied with everything I had.

The next day I enjoyed a massage, wet sauna, jacuzzi and then a swim in the pool. By the time I was done with the spa day, I wanted to stay one more night.

Great service. Amazing views. Perfect night sleep.

A++ Great place to stay in GUATE

This Hotel is by far at the top of the list of places to stay in Guatemala.

Could not be happier with the decision of staying in this hotel after my cousinĀ“s wedding, which by the way was spectacular.

After having a great time at the wedding reception, me and my family booked a room (#6 to be specific) to spend the night and wake up to my mom's b-day.

Staff helped us preparing a surprise party inside of the room and it worked out remarkably well. Thanks.

Aside from that, we had the best sunrise view in the lands, waking up to a volcano view and clear skies, lovely to be honest.

Comfortable beds, cozy room, breakfast was good (a bit delayed), and a spectacular ladscape. Perfect for photography sessions and film shootings.
