Beautiful Resort!! Booked direct from a owner on VRBO!! Ocean Front!! Clean and very nice condo!! Pools were nice and staff was very friendly!! Only thing is parking, it can be a real struggle to get a parking spot!!

We stayed at the hotel part (not condo). Two of 3 elevators were broken when we arrived and the third one broke the day we left (we were there 3 days). We took stairs down and only took elevator up. The stairwell smelled bed. Desk/check in staff was rude both my experience and what I overheard when a person was complaining. They did come up and fix issues in our room right away. They didn't clean our room until after 6pm one night - when we came back from dinner it actually smelled clean - it didn't smell that way when we arrived or any of the other days. Parking garage is a nightmare. All rooms have ocean views. I thought it was way overpriced for what we got. Staff just couldn't care less.

Mold was all in the rooms, outlets were uncovered and had wires sticking out, hair was all in the showers. It was disgusting. Contacted manager and he was not able to accommodate us because they were full and could not move us. His name was Andrew and he was very rude along with the staff at the front desk. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We could not stay in a moldy room because of guests health problems.It was against Health Violations and is not safe for anyone to stay in. Sand Dunes Resort kept our money for the first night for only staying there 30 minutes. It was a horrible experience to book through this site called Hotel.com. It was very misleading. Yes Hotels.com gave us a $300 credit to book another hotel but we lost around $600 from this crazy nightmare of a trip. We have 12 people and all we wanted was to stay what we planned but Hotels.com cannot accommodate us to stay another night with $300, there are no rooms available now, and that is not nearly enough money to book another night at any hotel comparable to Sand Dunes. HORRIBLE site and the manager of this site could not help us. He could not get Sand Dunes manager to respond to calls or emails, I am out of luck and have to cut this trip short. Do not have enough money to stay because Sand dunes resort still has the girls money that they had worked very hard to fund-raise, this has cheated us and has hurt 6 little girls.

We drove for 4 plus hours to get there on last Thursday to spend quality time (or so we hoped) with family and friends. Upon arrival around 9:00p.m., we were sent to a room that as soon as we entered the scent was so bad that we could hardly stand it. If that wasn't bad enough; right at the entrance of the living room on the carpet there were several white smeared stain marks that had the appearance of old dried semen.The walls were filthy and the place was just awful. Next room was a penthouse suite that wasn't sweet@ all. We hadn't even gotten our belongings inside before we noticed that this

Room service stinks! Desk staff is horrible. Our 5 year old stepped on the ONE elevator they had working and the doors slammed shut in seconds taking him up four floors and back! No concern nor care from the pathetic desk staff. I specifically called for FULL room service cleaning every morning because if you don't you get nothing. we are not in the individual condos. We are in the hotel owned and operated rooms. At 4:00 I finally got a half sweep no bathroom cleaning and that was it! Our bathrooms and floors have not been cleaned in 4 days. That's nasty! On check in one of our rooms did not have a shower curtain, beds were dirty in both rooms and the fridge was not working. The "two room suites" have no door. So it's one big room with two TV's! It's ridiculous! Hotel is noisy all night long, doors slamming, wild kids running the halls. NO security or supervision. The so called staff that walks or mostly sits at the pool does nothing about the wild kids. The kid lifeguards at the water park are more concerned about getting wet or their tans than safety. The amenities are nice but the rooms and service ruin all that. There is NO pride in their reputation, no care about service from management or desk staff. People are actually discussing the crappy rooms and service with each other at the pool and lazy river! We asked for a manager on Monday and never heard from one, we asked on Tuesday too. It's sad you save all year and look forward to your family vacation and get this. Never again.
