Marwah_Neetuon 04/04/2017 09:54The man made dunes are beautiful.Kids had a great time climbing the Dunes and rolling over. The huts were well designed with modern facilities. Food was good. Its good for a short stay as their is nothing much to do.
A man made beautiful desert
gpriyadarshi2017on 28/02/2017 07:39Visited the dunes as a day trip and was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the place....very nice place to click some nice photography with family...wanted to stay overnight but had to leave for Jodhpur...so asked the reception to arrange if a day trip can be done and they agreed.although the price was on higher side(1000 per head)..and they took us in a private jeep (which was custom made to look like a world war era) with a staff who was happy to carry our bag as well(since we had a kid)....the place(sand dunes) is amazing and beautifully laid out.though you quickly find out its artificiality created by looking outside the nevertheless it gives a good feeling a photo opportunity you can no travel till jaisalmer, this is a good bet...they also served us tea and there was no hurry or time limit for us to retun back ..the only thing which they could not arrange was the camel ride which was supposed to be part of this day trip...anyways will love to plan a staycation soon!!

Magical Oasis

Magical, mystical
saket son 28/01/2017 18:01It's truly an oasis in the middle of nowhere. It's 90 kms from Jodhpur towards Nagaur. The roads are wide, largely empty. More so, because our drive began from the edge of Jodhpur, Welocomgroup property on mandore road. Left turn to khimsar village takes you to an amazing, though small fort. Both the Fort and Khimsar Dunes village are ITC Hotels property. We chose Dunes and every view, at every time of the day is like a picture postcard. Tranquil place, you get dropped from fort to Dunes around 6 kms by jeeps. They do arrange desert safaris. One gets to see Antelopes, gazelle and black bucks. But the high point of the property is the peace and silences there. The huts are tastefully designed with tribal art and a reflective calm lake shimmers in the middle. An unusually charming experience!
Being away from population doesn't impact the quality of service. Moolchand Singh Dev and his team are always available for service. One catch- pick and drop from fort is arranged by the hotel and if you need to make any additional trips to village, it's charged. For a property charged at premium, they ought not, I think. But the place is lovely, and one doesn't want to get out often. If you are activity kind of people, tennis, swimming so forth, stay at fort. Fort is cheaper as well.
Stay in the desert!!
Ankit Aon 05/01/2017 08:39This has been one of the best stay of my life. They have around 20 rooms only, all the rooms are well equipped and once you step out of the room the views are breathtaking. Oasis in the middle. you can climb up the dunes and do some activities there also. We went there in a group and it was a lot of fun. I wouldn't recommend going without a group.
