Great room
Jennifer Pon 03/06/2017 00:25We vacation for a week every year and always stay at a different all inclusive resort. We have stayed at some amazing resorts and each year our resort seems to surpasses the previous resort. Unfortunately, that was not the case with Sandals Montego Bay. The resort wasn't nearly as luxurious as the pictures were online. The pools were small without a separate pool for the people staying in the "VIP" rooms. Plus, the swim area in the ocean was extremely limited. The food was pretty good. We liked the Italian restaurant the best and ate their twice for dinner. The beach party buffet dinner was awful. The main dish was mutton, which is adult sheep flesh. Ewwww! Anyway, the best part of our trip was our room and our butlers, Carlene and Palmer. We stayed in one of the Romeo and Juliet suites which was awesome. It was huge with a soaking tub inside and out. (luckily, the construction began on the villa next door the day before we left so we didn't have to deal with the noise). Carlene and Palmer were amazing. They were extremely friendly and accommodating. They catered to our every whim and then some! I wish we could've taken them home with us! If it were not for them, our vacation would have been terrible.
Our wedding/honeymoon

I want to say a special thank you to a few people that really went above and beyond. First person would be Princess. she was our wedding coordinator. The sweetest woman ever and really made us feel comfortable while we were there. Second would be our photographer Rodrick. What an amazing job he did on our photos. He was very patient with us on taking our photos. He made sure we got every shot possible that we had requested. Third would be a man named Cavin. He was our server at the bay side cafe EVERY morning for the whole week. He knew exactly what we wanted to drink every morning when we walked into the restaurant. He was very polite. He was one of the many people that made us feel at home. This trip was for sure the best week of our lives and thanks again to everyone for making our wedding so special. I cant wait to go back to Jamaica.
Honeymoon - All the glimmers ain't Gold...
Greg Gon 01/06/2017 03:39We stayed for 7 days for our Honeymoon. We stayed in the Romeo and Juliet Suite 552, at the time the nicest, and most expensive room at the resort.
Upon check in we were surprised by the construction literally right next door. Throughout the week it got worse... Its really hard to take a nap at 4pm, when rocks are being dumped for the bulldozer to spread around. We named the mud pit, Lake Sandals...
We had booked the room online months in advance and was never notified of the construction at any point.
We complained to our butlers but never received any acknowledgement from Management.
I honestly would not have booked this resort if I knew the construction was going to be that bad, it's puts a blight on our honeymoon.
Other than that, the Scuba Diving was great. The staff are friendly, restaurants good food.
The OLeander room is over rated, we walked out after 25 minutes of no one greeting us at our table. The nightly entertainment is okay, but the staff make it fun and watchable, especially with the bar being so close to the lobby living room.
Under Construction
Marchingbugon 30/05/2017 19:26This year was my 3rd trip to this Sandals. Our first year in 2014 they had not yet started their renovations, the next trip in 2016 they had started and closed off the main bar and part of the lobby. This year the bar and lobby are reopened and construction has began on the other side of the resort expanding the beach and building new rooms.
We stayed in the Oceanfront Village area on the opposite end of the resort from the construction. I honestly forgot they were working on the resort unless we ventured to the other side. However, that being said, I could see where guest staying on that side of the resort could be inconvenienced.
We stayed in a club level room with a tranquility soaking tub on the balcony. We enjoyed a fully stocked fridge and bar in our room and came back one afternoon to find a nice warm bath had been started for us by our housekeeper. Thoroughly enjoyed this room category.
It is true that the resort is very close to the airport and there is some jet noise but I will take that over an 1+ hour bus ride to our resort like some other properties.
Montego Bay Vacation
on 30/05/2017 19:03Love MoBay. The staff make the trip. They are very friendly and do their best to make sure you have the best vacation possible. They always smile and take the time to say hello. They go out of their way to make sure all your needs are met. The management is over the top in every way. This is the FLAGSHIP and with the current updates is also the best of Sandals. Carl, Dawn, Duncan, Satchwell. Dalton, Robert, Carla, Terri, Make our trip the best ever, and the Photo shop crew.
