What People are saying
@ the hotel managers reply dated 27 April 2017
A Rajan Pon 17/08/2017 11:42your explanation is understood, but we are well travelled people and to pay that sum for a lunch for that group was humongous. honestly we did not have time to cross check what was charged against the menu, but we do not dispute that either! but the fact remains that you were just astronomically expensive!
Average hotel.
saurav5349on 16/08/2017 19:31I stayed in this hotel during a business trip to Mysore. At entry hotel seems quite luxurious but inside things are average only.
Front rooms are full of disturbance from road traffic. Rear rooms have no view.
I took rear room to have noise free stay.
Rooms are a bit old and need upgradation.
Buffet lacked variety and staff was full of men from mars totally unreachable.
Overall an average stay with the kind of tariff.
Front desk staff was kind enough to allow me delayed checkout.
Old untidy room
Angela Uon 12/08/2017 10:44The lobby is the face of a hotel. But sometimes it’s deceptive like it was with Sandesh The Prince. We stayed there for two nights it was the beginning of June 2016. I don’t remember the exact room number now, it was 3018 or something like that.
About the room. My pictures will be more eloquent. First of all it’s obvious that there was no any renovation since very very long. But it doesn’t mean there should be arm-chairs with stains. Actually the room itself was not the worst thing. The worst thing was the bathroom which starts with an old shabby door which would be ok for old hostels. Sanitary ware was also old and disgusting. I took a look under the sink and discovered there some whole after repairing works. In completion I saw a big disgusting lock of hair at the door jamb. Everything in the bathroom was old, shabby and disgusting.
Our room was on the third floor right next to the lift. In the evening it was very crowded, we could hear every person passing by and talking outside. When I was about to sleep then we heard some noise of shifting furniture from the upper floor. After having called to the reception we found out that there is a bar on top and they are closing. The management really doesn’t understand that it’s not the right time to move anything there or they don’t know that there is a room below?! Or does anyone in this hotel know that there is no any soundproofing?!
Overall TERRIBLE experience.
You can’t call a hotel 4* if you have such rooms in your hotel. It’s a shame. I think anyone will agree with me if they see my pictures.
Good to stay at Mysore
Sameer Lon 31/07/2017 06:52we had been to Mysore for family trip on July last week.
We had a comfort stay at hotel Sandesh the Prince.
If you have a plan to roam around the Mysore city, this is the hotel you should go for.
close to major City attractions.
A 4 STAR HOTEL WITH A 2 STAR ATTITUDE
vivek7on 23/07/2017 13:321. A sinking organisation with a very demoralised crew. The place reeks of inefficiency.
Starting with the staff. The reception crew sounded very crass and untrained.
The bellboy and the door keeper are looking into your pockets. I got three consecutive salutes from the doorkeeper for tips. So was the bellboy.
The staff does not respond to requests for cleaning the room in the morning.
The toilets were unclean when we checked in and had to request the staff to clean it again.
The Wifi was woefully slow and repeated complaints to the reception elicited no response.
The restaurant is expensive, or the quantity of food is inadequate for the amount charged. For instance the Greek salad was just a few vegetables cut and plated and was charged 4 times the cost of the contents.
The chef stands behind the counter with a morose face.
SO OVERALL A VERY DEPRESSING EXPERIENCE.
