Beautiful B&B
mdg612on 10/06/2017 20:23My husband and I were in Shrewsbury for only one night and we are so glad that we stayed at Darwin's Townhouse. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Everything we could have wanted or needed was provided. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All the staff we interacted with were wonderful; so helpful and friendly. Location is great, right nearby to the river for lovely walks. We would recommend Darwin's to anyone traveling to the Shrewsbury area and we are already talking about a return trip ourselves!!
Excellent B&B!
RosanneT304on 09/06/2017 18:30The staff went out of their way to help you; they were always pleasant! Our room, #9, had twin beds with ample room. The room was very clean! The beds were comfortable. The breakfasts were superb - included a hot breakfast - lovely variety! The location is excellent - within walking distance to the town centre and to many restaurants. When we were meeting cousins for the first time, pots of tea and coffee were made, without me asking! We were treated so well! We highly recommend Darwin's Townhouse and when we are in Shrewsbury, we will definitely stay here!
Very nice place our room I feel was over priced
rosie371on 09/06/2017 15:23We stayed here and I was looking forward to the break away I work in a hotel and have 3 children so i was hoping Id get a very rear full nights sleep ,
We arrived and the the lady who checked us in was very nice friendly , when I walked in to the room I straight away said it's tiny and working in hotels I thought it's best suited to a single occupancy , the room was very hot and stuffy , and I opened both windows bathroom and bedroom , I was then woken at 6 in the morning to a terrible dragging men taking and loud noises it was the rubbish being collected from right out side the window , subsequently I didn't sleep after so I didn't get my good nights sleep , I was then shocked to see you did not get a cooked breakfast with your room price and it would of then made our stays£140 for a tiny room for one night , and not much sleep , and this is it stated when booking or in the information in the rooms , u only realise this in the breakfast rooms it's self which is wrong , we had to leave early any way so we left without breakfast as I had a call to say my daughter was poorly , so we didn't order ,
It's a beautiful house clean lovely decor , but our room was only big enough for one person and was not worth the room price I would only pay £80/£90 for a room of that size and iv worked in the business for 12 years , staff were very nice and welcoming the added touches were lovely , but my issues with the lack of sleep stuffy small room and the sneaky breakfast price , spoiled the our experience sadly ,, Iv paid the same price in Stratford for a big suite and massive bed with dear right out side my window when u consider the 2 and they also had historic connections , this was over price in my opinion sadly I had bin men and noise out side my window !!
Superb
Bernibopon 07/06/2017 19:49Absolutely stunning and quaint wish could of stayed longer. Beautifully decorated. Staff were brilliant as was breakfast. Well stocked honesty bar is an added bonus. Ideally situated and car park is very reasonable and close. Will definitely be back ❤❤❤
Lovely stay at this boutique hotel.
michaeljohnlee3on 05/06/2017 22:10Stayed just one night but Darwin's Town House was so good thought i would review it. Dog Friendly so Rasmus could be with us. Stayed in Room 11 which was detached from the main house overlooking a garden. Room was tastefully decorated and very clean. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The all inclusive breakfast was to die for. Will definately come back when we next walk in the area.
