Add a Masai Mara safari and your dreams come true!

One of the most enchanting experiences I have had. The whole organisation was without fault. I chose to take a break from the resort flying to the Fairmont Mara Safari Club. Absolutely perfect and the best safari adventure possible. If Kenya is on your wish-list, this is where your dreams are fullfiled.

SUPERB COCONUT VILLAGE

We took five clients this resort with our company Continental Tours and Safaris for three nights.Coconut Village is a picturesque vacation resort set on a stretch of Silversands beach in Malindi, Kenya. Coconut Village is within 5 minutes’ drive from the town of Malindi and easily accessible by road. The resort is known for its beautiful white beaches and tranquil azure seas.Coconut Village is surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens and great big palm trees. The fusion of international influences is visible in the architecture and décor of the rooms where Lamu, Swahili and Arab influences give a true feeling of paradise, while creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Coconut Village offers tons of activities during the days and the nights, ranging from animation activities such as watergym, aerobics, stretching and ocean walking; live entertainment, snorkeling excursions, deep sea fishing and archery during the daytime, to clubbing and sipping cocktails at night (Coconut Village has its own disco bar).
Coconut Restaurant: Italian and Mediterranean inspired cooking style Buffet. Breakfast is served from 07:30 to 10:00, Lunch from 13:00 to 14:30 and Dinner from 19:30 to 21:30.The five freeform swimming pools at Coconut Village are large and beautifully maintained, offering a welcome solace from the hot Kenyan sun. All the pools and the beachfront have sun loungers, parasols and towels for guests to use, free of charge – ensuring your every comfort.
I really recommend guests who visit Malindi to have a night here.

Easily our best holiday ever!

Nairobi is a relatively short flight from Johannesburg. After that you still have to transfer to Mombasa however. And then it's about an hour long drive to Malindi. So, the trip takes almost a full day.

We arrived shortly before midnight and were very grateful to be offered something to eat before we went to bed.

We checked into a sea facing room. Waking up to that incredible view the next morning (and for the 6 or 7 days after that) was incredible. I'd definitely recommend a sea facing room.

We booked an all inclusive package. I'd certainly recommend the same. Every meal was taken care of and drinks flowed throughout the day. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We went from breakfast to lunch to supper. In between meals, we lazed about by the pool, we read and we slept. Light snacks were offered in between main meals. And, the food was amazing, especially the French onion soup!

The pool water was lovely and warm. We swam a lot! The ocean was warm too.

June is off season so Malindi is quiet. A number of the neighboring resorts were closed, but that added to the absolutely relaxed nature of our holiday. I don't enjoy reading much, but I finished two books during the week that we stayed. We did limited sightseeing and really just enjoyed our time at the resort.

The room in which we stayed was great. The was no TV and we had no telephone reception (the latter by choice). So, we were completely removed from the world for a week. Bliss!

On the patio of our first floor room was a lounger. A great place to enjoy the sea views and have a relaxing afternoon lie down.

The laundry staff folded our towels into swans and other amazing shapes every day and sprinkled rose petals around the room. Such a nice touch.

I proposed to my wife at a private dining table on the beach during our stay. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that the moment was special. And the chef cooked a really great 3 or 4 course meal for our special occasion.

We will never forget Sandies Coconut Village. Easily the best holiday we've ever been on.

-- we visited in June 2011.

Spent a month there and found service and staff to be just great food was good and evenings round the pool with a brandy finished my day of really well
I thought the management went that extra bit extra to make everything as good as it should be and all of the staff were most helpful and always happy to help in any way
The beach is great only down was some of the pool activities were sometimes a bit to loud for our taste
