What People are saying

Pleasant staff and very nice Hotel

Belinda don 04/04/2017 22:26

This was my second stay at the Santa Claran. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff looked and found discounts that gave us a better price on our room. Unfortunately, I lost all the savings at the Casino.

Breast The Grill

I ad the County Skillet & my wife had the Prime Skillet. Both dishes came out hot and tasted great. The service was fast and friendly. They breakfast until 11:30, you can't order from the lunch menu until then. We'll be coming back again!

Clean air please

My husband and I stayed here in order to make it to an early morning surgery the next day at the nearby hospital. The rooms at the hotel are nice enough, with big walk-in showers and real wooden doors. There's a nice little coffee stand downstairs that opens at 6am. A night watchman patrols the parking lot, which is very reassuring in this area. The only drawback was the smell of cigarette smoke as you first enter the lobby, because the hotel is directly connected to the casino next door with just an open corridor. This should be addressed.

Great Hotel Not so great Resturant!

We had a gift Certificate for 2 nights at the Santa Claran Hotel. We also had a gift Certificate for $50. at the Resturant, The Grill. The hotel was nice, clean and the staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was clean and roomy. The TV, flat screen is a bit small for me, I have trouble seeing distances, all in all I would give the Hotel and room including staff 4 Stars!

The Resturant was not so nice. There has been a rumor for years that if you have light colored skin, Esponola is not a place for you. I am beginning to think the rumors might be true :) It felt like the stares were burning holes in us :)

I ordered the chicken fried steak and my son ordered the full side of ribs. The food took awhile to come out, we were not in a hurry so that was OK, but when we got our plates most of my food was COLD & the ribs were tough & lacked good flavor, we were so disappointed! My son is a 1st responder/ fighfighter and he had won the certificates and was treating me for my birthday.

Big Rock Bowl at Santa Claran Hotel

I'm only rating the bowling alley, as I've not yet stayed at the hotel or gambled at the casino. This is the only bowling center in town, and it's a fun place to go. It's attached to the hotel/casino, and can be reached either directly from the parking lot (there are ample spaces in front and in back) or through the casino. There is no smoking allowed in the bowling center, and the front-desk staff is always friendly. Mid-week bowling rates are reasonable. Scoring is fully automated, so you don't even have to know the rules of the game to have fun. There are plenty of alley balls for use, and you can rent shoes at the front desk. Also available are bumper-bowling and ball ramps for young bowlers. There is a small but fairly well-stocked pro-shop on premise, and they can also drill your ball and do maintenance on it. If you bowl there often, there are lockers for rent on a yearly basis at a reasonable price. Also on site is a place to order food and beverages, including alcohol. You can either eat at their tables or have the food brought to your lane so you can eat while you bowl. I've found the food to be quite good. The best time to go for open bowling is mid-afternoon or weekends during the day, as there are often leagues going on weekday mornings and evenings. Call ahead if you are not sure.
