This hotel was recommended by some friends and it proved to suit our needs very well. Our room was clean; the mattresses were very firm (yes!); and, the environment was quiet. The staff was very helpful. We utilized the free shuttle to the Plaza all 3 days we were in the Santa Fe area. Overall, very good experience.

Great Stay in Downtown Santa Fe.......

My wife and I recently visited New Mexico and spent four days in Santa Fe. Santa Fe was an incredible place to just walk the streets of the Downtown area checking out museums, historic buildings, shopping in boutique stores, art galleries, dining in great restaurants, and just taking in the entire area.

We stayed at the Sage Inn and enjoyed it very much. It was a smaller two story motel but don't let that fool you. The Sage Inn was a first-class operation all the way. From its uniquely decorated rooms, to its very clean and well maintained property, to its very friendly staff. The Sage Inn made us feel welcome and our stay appreciated.

Every morning we had their breakfast in the dining room connected to the lobby and the Derailed Bar. They had both a hot and cold buffet that had many choices. We also had our first Margarita for the "Santa Fe Margarita Trail" there. So we earned our first Passport stamp to get our commemorative T-Shirts.

The grounds for the Sage Inn are meticulously maintained. In fact on a couple of evenings there were still maintenance people working to keep the facility looking well groomed. You can pay a lot more at other Santa Fe Downtown motels/hotels/inns, but you will definitely miss out on one really nice Boutique Inn.

If you are looking for a great place to stay when visiting Santa Fe and the "Downtown area", the Sage Inn is an excellent choice. We both loved it and would definitely stay there again. I purposely saved the Sage Inn for my Review #500 !

Great location and easy to find. They offered hourly free shuttle service to old Santa Fe,
Super friendly personnel and a restaurant and bar on the premises. Would stay there again. Not a super new motel, but renovated and clean.

Well, It Suited It's Purpose

Sometimes hotel rooms make me feel a little creepy because the just "feel" dirty. This hotel was not dirty but so worn that it felt that way. We had signed for a king bed, and when we got there, it was two queens that we received. O well, the hotel was sold out, so I didn't even bother mentioning it. We had a group renting rooms there for a cycle race and, as a large group, enjoyed the dining area outside which could support our large group.
It was very bust, but Zoe, our waitress, did a great job! The staff was great...food also good so the dated hotel room issue was forgiven.

We loved it!!

We loved the southwestern theme room and the first thing that I noticed walking into the room was how clean it smelled! Very nice and knowledgeable the staff, told us about things we should see and where they were! The free shuttle was a life saver!! The free shuttle picks you up at the front office and takes you to the old historic square, saves you from having to pay $3.00 an hour to park at a meter plus you get to meet some interesting people from the hotel on the shuttle ride😊
The breakfast in the morning is good, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bagels, toast, waffles, cearel, milk, juice and coffee.
