Great accomodation

mariella mon 04/09/2015 17:29

Just returned from a 4 day vacation in san Vito la capo. Apartment was so comfortable with a little kitchen, ample spacious bathroom and comfy bed. Arriving by car we couldn't find the place immediately but we inserted the coordinates in our gps and arrived exactly in front of it. Although it's not in the chaos of the centre however there is a navetta which goes around every 15 minutes so for those who don't like to walk it is quite a help. Apartment is only ten minute walk from the beach. Can't complain at all and highly recommend it. Garden is awesomeness receptionist very helpful suggesting places to dine and leisure activities too. Thumbs up

Attentive staff and clean place - could be even better though

My boyfriend and I staid in one of the apartments at Sanvitosleep for 15 days during our winter holidays. We're climbers and we normally don't need much comforts, but also wanted to have a romantic vacation too. We really liked the place, but I think it could be even better.

What I liked:
- The owner Pierfrancesco and the staff were very attentive, always willing to help and discreet.
- Convenient free parking on the same street were the apartments are.
- Quite area not far from the beach and the centre.
- Free bike rental (although we didn't use it).
- Modern bathroom with bidet and shower (perfect pressure and heating system).
- Good air conditioning system in the bedroom.
- Plenty of wardrobes and cupboards were to place your staff.
- Although we didn't use it, there is a big modern TV screen with all Italian channels, which is a good thing for who like to watch TV.
- A guy would come everyday to clean the whole place and wash the dishes, which is something I didn't expect and I really appreciated.

What could be better:
- The kitchen was very cold (we staid there in December/January). It's very big (we ended up in an apartment for groups, not for couples as I asked) and only had a small heater that couldn't heat the huge room.
- There were no curtains anywhere in the whole apartment, which forced us to keep the shutters of our bedroom closed most of the time to have some privacy.
- Internet was not working in our apartment (it only works in the main facility, which is the group of apartments on the other side of the street).
- Our apartment didn't have an oven (the description said it did and I wanted it as I was planning to cook fresh fish and bake).
- There is no washing machine and I think that they should install a common one in the main facility.
- The pans were all scratched because there was no wooden spoons. I suggest they get one so the pans last more and are more healthy.

Great, friendly place to stay

Great place for nice, calm holiday, the owner-Francesco made our stay as easy and as comfy as possible. His great friendly attitude really help us to enjoy one amazing week as he helped us with the transfer from/to the airport, gave us directions and advices where to go. Breakfast was really nice, sweet mostly.Clean spacy rooms were cleaned every day. Complains of a bit more noise from the road are not completely right....you hear the cars from time to time, but, it's not really that terrible, we didn't notice it that much. We felt like at home and we'll definitely come back again.

Lovely Place and good value for money

At first the place was difficult to find, as there are no signs on the property which would help. Once found, the apartment we stayed in was an upgrade from the normal rooms and it contained everything we needed, including 2 rooms, kitchen with espresso machine and breakfast facilities. It had back and front terraces with outside dinner table. Lovely view onto the nearby mountains and walking distance to beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and cleaned every day. The owner and staff were very friendly and we received a bottle of Nero D'Avola Local wine gratis. Wireless internet was free also and when it didn't work, the owner fixed straight away. Overall, we had a great time in San Vito and surrounding areas, like Zingaro National Park, Trapani, Marsala and Erice, a lovely Hill town. Grazie per tutto, Piero!

Excellent, friendly B&B

Great b&b. Francesco, the owner, made us very welcome from the minute we arrived. he speaks good english and is a great host.
Breakfast was the best we had during our stay in sicily, fresh pastries, breads and fruit every morning along with coffee and yoghurts. Other reviewers have complained about the breakfast being just sweet pastries etc, but this is what you get for breakfast all over sicily, and this b&b provided some of the nicest we had
Francesco made us traditional sicilian appetisers on our last night including great wine and his own home-grown olives for a very reasonable price. there were many small, tapas style dishes including local fish in olive oil, tiny peppers stuffed with tuna etc; the food and drink were delicious.
location is walking distance to the centre of san vito & the beach, and francesco provides a tandem bicycle if you want to cycle.
rooms were new and kept spotless. francesco also gave us great advice about where we should visit on the rest of our trip round sicily, this turned out to be extremely useful and we were glad we'd taken it and stayed at san vito sleep, we were very fortunate to have stayed here at the start of our trip. highly recommended
