Best Property around Mandawa
Rajat Von 30/08/2017 12:22This is the best maintained property in Mandawa, and I don't say this because it's huge and has well maintained lawns or the rooms are big and have all the required facilities you expect in a good resort. It is for a few reasons and those are.
* Power backup, this is a remortgage part of Rajasthan and frequent power outages are common, working wifi, led Android TV with wide range of channels, lots of indoor games like pool and TT tables.
*Fairly well maintained pool, they have 2 dedicated pool attendants who manage pool though they have to work very hard to keep the insects out of pool as the hotel is surrounded by agricultural fields.
*Very hospitable staff who try and take care of all your needs and comfort.
*Restaurant food is fairly good, menu is restricted and limited to Indian cuisine.
I am sure that if you are in this part of Rajasthan then don't think twice to book this hotel, I visited a few other properties and majority of them are not even close to this one.
Kudos to the Management for being able to maintain such a huge property with limited tourist footprint in the region.
Excellent family vacation resort, rest, dine & chill!
Nilay Von 18/08/2017 13:32This is a fabulous place! Let me start by writing the bad things, because these are just few, yes, just few!
1. Housekeeping is really slow and mean! Day 2 of our stay they dont come until 4 pm and when we call them, they say, 1st they need to ready the rooms which are vacant cause they can get new guests for that! Hello, what about the guests who are staying there already? Lol.(and we know for the fact that there were no expected check inn's that day)
2. The day we have to check our, they are standing in front of our room since 12 noon. Hovering on top of us like humming birds! Guys, where were you yesterday with your super service like this. Just because you know we have to check out, you now need our rooms and there are plenty of other rooms vacant! Not fair!
3. We stayed 2 night 3 days, with 3 rooms and rest other occupancy was not even 25% and no check group check inn's sooner - the reception is hesitant on giving us a late checkout. We had to leave by 12:45 pm - not fair!
4. The swimming pool has some insects inside them - which starts biting you at every possible place - you can imagine. Scary / itchy but not dangerous!
Well that was the bad part, now the good part!
1. The hotel is nice - well kept - neat and clean!
2. Rooms are good too! AC gives some problems some times, but ok not such a big problem. They sort it when reported!
3. They are AMAZINGLY Guest friendly - in fact best child friendly hotel! We had 3 children in our group, 2 below 3 yrs. They were running in the lobby, playing with their snooker balls, tt balls, baddy rackets, etc etc but they never uttered a word! In fact I had to stop them looking at it, but the hotel or the hotel staff - never uttered a word to them! Guys you get a 7 start for this! BEST of BEST - never soon some one so patient! We're surely coming back for this experience again!
4. Amazing food and restaurant staff is very courteous, child friendly and guest friendly. Thy always were around with a smile for every thing we needed! This is super hospitality.
5. We were a part of the buffet meal plan - and asked them why they don't keep Dal Bati Churma - the local Rajasthani favorites in the menu. Next day at breakfast the captain asks us, if they would like us to keep Dal Bati Churma in today's buffet so that we could taste it. And he remembered that we asked for it yesterday! Man...... this is so out of the world and not a regular to hear from resort staff's. Infact we had the authentic excellently prepared Dal Bati Churma that night and many other things along with it! THIS IS HOSPITALITY!
6. We had some AC issues in the room - already mentioned above in the bad section!, the GM comes to meet us in our room, knowing the regular complaint we made, and offers us an extra room post rectifying the problem. He said "Sir although the AC is working in your room now, we are giving you on extra room, should you feel the need please use it to sleep over for tonight!" WOW.... again - not so regular offering from hoteliers!
7. We requested the for packing some Paratha's for the kids at breakfast - since we were to check out at lunch! They could have charged me - and I would have paid also - since this was not part of my deal. BUT, no charges, and I had 4 extra paratha's for on road for my kids! Well.... I usually get this kind of hospitality with the best 5 star hotels like LALIT etc.... but these guys... shocked us at every step!
8. Last to mention - but many more there were! We had an attendant along with us for the under 3yrs to manage and as an extra helping hand! Free Staff food for him at the staff cafeteria! and they also allowed him to sleep over in the gallery with an extra mattress! How considerate of them. Well we needed him around us. Most hotel either don't allow them or charge for an extra occupancy guest rate. But this hotel was so nice and understanding that - either they kept their eye closed or they understood what it actually was! SUPER GUYS... I owe this one to you!
AT THE END - I whole hardheartedly recommend this resort to all especially family travelers!
A quaint and beautiful little retreat !!
swatistravelon 09/08/2017 09:18We stayed in this resort for a day on 6th Aug with my family and boy did we have fun! It was one of the most beautiful place we have stayed in. Large and well appointed room with equally large ensuite. Traditional and hand crafted furniture reminiscing of royal abodes and Haveli structure of the property makes you feel no less than a prince/ princess. Nothing was too much effort for the staff. Swimming Pool was of decent size, clean and with amenities.
Though the place is situated far from major cities but that adds to its charm if you want to get away from the world for a while. The menu seemed to be a bit pricey but there is a decent restaurant about 2 kms away if u want an alternative. The breakfast which was included in the package was sumptuous.
They also offer camel rides if u r travelling in a group. There is air hockey, table tennis for kids entertainment. Nearby forts, castle and havelis are nice places to visit.
The only thing they could improve on is air conditioning which takes a while to be effective as the rooms are large.
We would definitely love to visit this resort again.
A Prefect Weekend Gateway
rushtotikuon 17/07/2017 06:13we visited SARA resort from jaipur and observed its one of the best hospitality i ever received in 3 star hotel. Food here is awesome and DAL BAATI CHOORMA is something u will cherish for long time. Green area accompanied with soccer, cricket, Table tenis, Billiards etc.
Only drawback it has is pool is not clean to the standards.
