Brian and his wife are wonderful hosts, with a beautiful property. The house is only blocks from the downtown, with lots of shopping and wonderful restaurants. The breakfast is wonderful, with their homemade bagels, many different types of fruit, and French toast and bacon. Hope we get back to Newport to stay here again.

Bryan and Fran are excellent hosts and inn keepers. The positive reviews that led me to book the Sarah Kendall for my stay in mid-November proved to be accurate. It was a fun and unique experience to stay in a house with so much history. You can't beat the owners' knowledge of local sites and experiences, the absolutely amazing and tasty breakfast they provide, and the fun conversation that ended up coming along with it, too. I would recommend this location to adults and couples, but imagine it would not be the ideal locale for families with young children.

My sister and I went to Newport for the weekend. We went to sight see and go to restaurant week.
Our stay at Sarah Kendall House was wonderful. The room was SUPER clean (every nook and cranny), had a gas fireplace, tv and a small fridge. The owners Bryan and Fran were great. Bryan is a wealth of knowledge for restaurants and the mansions....also really helpful with directions. Fran made sure the food was fresh and plentiful, with many healthy choices.

I was very happy with all aspects of this inn. The location was very convenient (a 5 minute walk) to downtown Newport and was also virtually across the street from lovely bay views. Fran and Bryan were accessible knowledgeable hosts that also turned out a bounteous delicious breakfast each morning, including freshly baked bagels from their own shop. It was nice to return each afternoon from a walk or drive to fresh cookies and hot drinks. Our room was clean and spacious,

Great place! Friendly staff. All the modern amenities while enjoying the coziness of a Victorian home. Beautiful views and only a walk or short ride to all that Newport has to offer. Looking forward to our next visit.
