Just alright
Geofonoson 16/08/2012 12:10The hotel is located near the shore of Edremit gulf. Few shops and houses around it make it a place to just stay in the hotel - nothing to see really around it. Breakfast was very nice with lots of variety, dinner was adequate. The swimming pool was very nice and the thermal pool on the inside was decent. Room was huge with a big bath tub and a large bed.
Major drawbacks were 1. The staff does not seem to speak any other language than Turkish (1 or 2 people speak a little English but thats about it), so that makes it a bit difficult to communicate. The are very willing to help though. 2. Sometimes during the day, there is loud dance music coming from a speaker near the pool. And I do mean LOUD. Not nice when you want to catch a mid-day nap and not really suited for a spa hotel that advertises "silence and wellness". 3. Many customers were not staying in the hotel - just stopping by for a swim and a beverage. They were mostly natives, flooding both the thermal and the swimming pool which was not really cool in terms of cleanness. The hotel seems to put up with it - I wouldn't.
Wish I could have joined the party, but wouldn't have wanted to sleep above it
Linda Lon 12/06/2012 23:58The public spaces in this hotel are impressive. The lobby is nicely appointed and features a little shop with high end merchandise and prices to match. There is a wide circular staircase to the second floor which occupies much of the remaining space.
The rooms which we were assigned were tiny, with 2 single beds, (nice and firm) with
a small updated bathroom...very clean.
Our meals were included...not much in the evening meal that appealed to our group...lots of beans and couscous and sickly sweet desserts. There was a very nice chicken dish which with rice proved adequate. The breakfast offering was much more varied, and more than made up for dinner.
We arrived at the hotel after a brutally long bus ride, and we and our travelling companions were totally exhausted. Rather than enjoying a quiet dinner, we had the opportunity to experience girls' night out in Edremet, accompanied by a DJ (not sure how that translates) playing very, very loud Turkish music. I have to say that I was energized by the music and the dancing, but this reaction was not shared by our friends. We felt very sorry for our guide, who was not feeling well, but was unable to rest as his room was right above the party area. The rooms in this hotel are definitely not sound proof.
The staff was not particularly friendly.
This hotel is situated right across the highway from the water, and has a large outdoor swimming pool.
A nice place to stay in...
Maria Son 12/03/2012 12:55We spend wonderful time in this hotel. (03-09 of september 2011)
The mineral water in the inside pool was very warm and some furnitures were broke but breakfast and diner were delicious.
Nice hotel with good breakfast, massage room, etc
chika925on 20/12/2010 19:48I got the hotel at midnight because of the travel delay, but the hotel was nice and cozy. My room was wide enough for one person. Also variety of their breakfast was nice. The city itself is not so big, but I think it is good for relax.
