Dion Bon 11/12/2016 16:22We are currently staying in the hotel. The room is big, warm and comfortable. The hotel is central and close to everything. It would be better in season I am sure as we have to open two doors using a key to get into reception and walk up 4 flights of stairs to our room. Breakfast is good. Everything is fresh which is great. I would have preferred to have a kettle and some tea and coffee in the room. Would I return... yes!
Cozy hotel in the heart of Oberstdorf
wa6230on 16/10/2016 07:24The hotel/restaurant is right in the centre of Oberstdorf. You will get permission to drive through the pedestrian area and park your car at the hotel.
The rooms are good (a bit outdated) and the are beds very comfortable.
We had dinner there which was excellent but you should book in advance!
The breakfast buffet is stunning. Overall a very good hotel if you like to stay in the town centre.
Nice place to stay downtown Oberstdorf
kpmaiseon 01/10/2016 10:15Located in the pedestrian zone of Oberstdorf, it's a nice quiet place to spend a couple of days. Our room was 3rd floor (no lift!) with scenic view from the balkony. Watching sunset was spectacular.
Don't be afraid of the no traffic zone; as a hotel guest you'll be allowed to drive in. Parking is free.
Breakfast is superb and will energize your day until dusk.
Rooms are clean and beds are OK, bathrooms are also OK. Carpet may need replacement soon.
Staff is extremly frindly and helpful. We got talked to the parking by phone as the GPS refused to bring us into the pedestrian zone, and the lady from front desk was waiting beside the street to show us the parking lot entrance.

Libby Ton 01/04/2016 11:26We were spread over three rooms, all well equipped and very comfortable. The rooms are cleaned daily including fresh bedding. The breakfast offers masses of choice to suit all tastes. The hotel is very centrally located with private parking included in the price. The wifi can be a little intermittent but is free. All rooms came with a balcony area. There is a restaurant downstairs should you wish to use it. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak much better Englush than we do German. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely traditional German Fayre
Richard Son 28/02/2015 15:48February 2015 proved yet again that German hospitality and great food are right up there. After a days skiing it is lovely to be served a hearty meal from a wide variety of choices all washed down with one of the many excellent German beers. Good value too - especially for the alcohol.
For me the measure is would I return ? - and the answer a resounding Yes
