Comfortable and quaint
Anne Hon 09/08/2017 21:27We stayed at this Inn for two nights. We had the Camillia room which was a large room with a king bed and sitting area. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. We chose the option which allows the Inn to assign a room for us instead of our choosing a room. It was a great choice for us. The young woman who checked us in, her name was Apollo, was so warm and cordial and offered many suggestions for places to eat. Parking is on the street but the Inn pays for all parking with your complimentary parking pass in the car. We were right in front of the main door and us was a very safe area. Since the breakfast room is on the second floor and no elevator available...patrons who have special needs can have their breakfast brought to their first floor room. I believe the breakfast could have been better or more gourmet but it was still a full breakfast with eggs, meat, fruit, etc. Often some B & B's have really creative breakfasts but this was more ordinary. Despite this, I would still go back because there is so much beauty to see with all the famous squares and Forsyth park within walking distance. Many restored homes are also in this area.
Lovely little spot!
KaraRogerson 09/08/2017 15:43Stayed here with my daughter, who was touring SCAD. When we arrived, the lovely ladies at the front desk put us in an extra-large room with two beds (thank you, again!!) without being asked. We paid with a Groupon, so I wasn't going to ask for too many extra favors. :) We did ask to be allowed to leave our car a little past checkout time, because of the college tour schedule and they agreed without hesitation. The beds were comfortable, and the room had a lot of charm and personality. Good water pressure, plenty of towels, and a lovely breakfast in the morning. The evening snacks go VERY quickly, and are not refreshed so do not linger if you want your bedtime cookie! Very convenient to walk to SCAD admissions office and right on one of Savannah's lovely squares. Looking forward to my next stay!
Quick Visit
Phil Won 27/07/2017 18:10My wife and I wanted to stop for one night on our way back home from NC. She picked this B&B because they had a special for $119 called managers choice. We didn't book a specific room like you would usually do, the manager would pick an available room for you. We were not disappointed. We got the Masters room, which was right above the main dining area. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated and the shower was excellent. We didn't explore the B&B other than the quick tour given to us by the receptionist. We were about a 15 minute walk to the waterfront and there were plenty of stores and parks along the way. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 is because the on street parking is metered and they do not have any spots reserved for the B&B, so you may not be able to get a spot nearby. They do however feed the meter for you while you are a guest of theirs. We did opt for the basic bacon eggs and toast breakfast, which was less than stellar. We got scrambled eggs, and they tasted like fake eggs, not fresh. Overall it was a nice place to stay for the money and we will try to book the place next time we are in Savannah
Charming inn
Alan Lon 22/07/2017 22:40We wished we could have stayed here a few more nights. This was a charming place. The room was a two story suit with the bedroom and bath upstairs and the sitting room, fridge and microwave downstairs. There were many courtyards and sitting areas. The only problem was the parking but that ended up not being as bad as i thought.
Beautiful B&B!
TennesseeHarleygalon 20/07/2017 20:52Inn was very nice, loved all the historical and architectural detail. The room was lovely. The bed was a bit high...maybe stairs would have helped. The bathroom was a bit dated, but clean. We were in the "library" room upstairs. The stairs were narrow, winding and creaking, but that's to be expected with such an old home. Breakfast portions were small, but tasty. Would like to come back again when it's not so hot!
