It is the most expensive hotel in Irkutsk,but is also the best one.The location is in the heart of the city,30 meters from Karl Marx street.The rooms are big,clean,with modern and comfortable furniture,speed wi-fi and high tech amenities.The breakfast is not buffet,but on choose and order from a big list of high quality goods(on can order from the previous day it's selections and the breakfast time).Sayen is a small,but very luxury hotel that took care for small details that make the big differences.

Great rooms, good size, in excellent condition and state of cleanliness. super comfortable beds. Perfect central position, great service overall not just on site but also to assist with transfers and tour options. Outstanding breakfast!

Perfect rooms. Big and comfortable beds. Lot of high technology inside the room, and in a toilet. People are kind and professional. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use spa center and the restaurants.

The Sayen is very elegant. Heated stone floors, pretty Asian watercolors on the walls, beautiful bathroom. Location is superb, just 10-15 minutes walk from the city center and the 130 District. Service is excellent. Receptionist Marina noticed a mistake in our bill and corrected it for us. The breakfast is superb-- everything individually made to order, just like a Japanese ryokan.

We were given a corner room on the 6th floor, which provided an almost unobstructed view of the city towards the Angara and Irkutsk rivers. The trade off was the noise from chairs being dragged in the salon on the seventh floor, and the sound of cars being unlocked in the early hours as people left the late night restaurant and bar.

The room is too high-tech. So high-tech that we couldn’t control the ventilation system.

The big surprise was mosquitoes. We must have let several into the room when we used the balcony. They kept us from sleeping well. Management should consider installing screens on the balcony doors.

Great all around hotel with excellent facilities and helpful service. Amazing bathroom facilities. Good central location in Irkutsk near the railway station so great for Trans Siberian Express railway stopovers for lake Baikal (90 mins drive away).
