Comfortable & clean rooms, I have really enjoyed the breakfast, lot of variation also clear indications on gluten / lactose. Location close to shops and pubs. A place i would recommended for your stay.

Room was really spacious and possible to get total total darkness when it was midnight sun :)
Breakfast was super with a lot of possibilities to select every morning during 7 days visit. Mostly I selected Finish specialist since back to home country ;)

Clean and friendly right in downtown

Scandic in downtown Oulu is a fine hotel. Great access to everything in downtown Oulu. The hotel is clean, friendly. Food is good with a fine typical Finish breakfast selection. Great fresh breads. Custom order of eggs requires an up charge. There is plenty of selection.
Dinner in the restaurant was excellent.
Hotel parking is under the hotel with direct access.
The only negative is the shower floor situation. The shower always gets the rest of the bathroom floor wet, and you have to use the provided squeegee to make the room serviceable. This is a general problem with compact bathrooms as we found at other hotels in Finland and Norway.

Nice accommodation in town

Nice hotel in a central position of Oulu from where you reach all the point of interest walking few minutes. Friendly personnel, cleaness and a wonderful breakfast buffet are the more relavant feature of Scandic hotel.

Two weeks in Oulu

This is the third time I have stayed at this location. The rooms are very nice, the staff is very helpful, and the location is close to the city market place which is great during the summer. When the weather is nice borrowing the bicycles provided by the hotel make for a great evening.
