Charming palace with super breakfast
Stefan Gon 25/06/2016 18:17A very nice surprise outside Bamberg. We could not get a room in town but really enjoyed this hidden gem. Family owned p(a)lace with friendly staff, charming and comfortable rooms, an inviting park with historic natural pool (!) and more to explore. We absolutely loved to have dinner and breakfast on the terrace. Restaurant has room for improvement but the feeling was great.
Rooms in good shape and large enough. Minor tributes to the old structures but so beautiful. Choose 2nd floor.
The breakfast is excellent - good selection of high quality food. Super meat and bread.

Delightful surprise
oaktable2015on 22/04/2016 17:14The rooms on the ground floor of the secondary building have been recently renovated and were great, white and modern. Dinner was an absolute highlight, especially for the kids. For an amazing five euros each, they had a starter and a main course of great quality after being greeted with colouring materials and a little toy. Dinner was equally enjoyable for the parents, thanks not only to the good, non pretentious, food, but also to the kind service and the overall atmosphere (warm dining area with beautiful lighting). Breakfast was equally strong the morning after, all for prices that were more than reasonable, in fact cheaper than anywhere else we stayed in this trip. Only 15 minutes' drive from Bamberg, so a strong recommendation from me to use this hotel as the place to rest after a day strolling in the beautiful city.

Eva Won 17/04/2016 19:48A fairytale place to stay, beautiful surroundings, magnificent park, stylish rooms and fantastic service. I booked a birthday package and it was simply wonderful, lovely flowers and a beautifully set table. Plus, they were so nice about letting our dog stay as well! I hope to stay here again on the summer and enjoy the swimming pond. Really a gem. The restaurant is also highly recommended, absolutely delicious food, our duck was cooked to perfection and the breakfasts were also excellent. Thank you for a wonderful time!
A Palace 20 Kilometers from Bamberg

Not far away from Bamberg, in a small town, in the middle of a forest, this hotel was very nice, with excelent service and great restaurant!! Was a surprise for us the small but incredible good restaurant with a Michelin Guide recomendation!!
Quant spot off the beaten track
Kirke Mon 09/04/2015 14:28We stayed here recently on a short trip to Franconia and were not disappointed. The hotel is in a cute small town and is as neat on the inside as it looks from the outside. Our room was large with high ceilings and a big bath and reminded us of the prior use of the house by the local Bishop. They had a table reserved for us the first night with our name on it in the restaurant (that is just at the other end of the small building) and we ended up eating there both nights of our stay. They had an English menu, which was helpful as we don't speak German,and we were able to order some very tasty meals. They even put Easter baskets outside our door on Easter morning! Friendly and helpful staff.
