Nice quiet hotel with some small drawbacks
sh0rttripperson 19/08/2017 14:55We stayed in a grand deluxe room in the main building. Very quiet neighbourhood, and one can reach the Kurfürstendamm in about 10 minutes. We were happy to find a hotel with a spa and pool that is not part of the common hotel chains.
We especially liked the pool area with its open windows to the small garden. The sauna was brandnew which was nice but we missed a water dispenser at the spa. Also some of the bar staff could be more attentive - e.g. bringing the bill unasked is at least impolite.
The room itself was a bit dated and had some small inattentiveness such as missing tiles and makeshift "blinds". The aircondition is quite noisy even when switched off. The bed was comfortable and the complementary services we quite liked, as well as the delicious cookies that came with the turn-down service :)
Living the holiday life of luxury
barbarabF9061MSon 08/08/2017 12:15We felt very welcome here. What a great place! Nothing was to much for the staff. I asked for a water boiler to make tea and 5 min. later: there it was. The garden is great and the pool is very nice. It is a bit far away from the center when you don't have a car, but we just spend some money on taxi's. Just one tip for the cook: use less salt.
Wonderful place, wonderful people and great place to rest and relax on vacation
78nissimaon 07/08/2017 16:46Wonderful place and great choice to have a resting and relaxing vacation. We arrived to the hotel on a hot day to find the hotel upgraded our stay to a junior suite. When we mentioned that we would like to have a better air-airconditioned room we were upgraded to the new renovated rooms. Although it meant we had to pay slightly more, it was worth it very much. It is funny in hotel in Germany that they don't allow real cold rooms. It was hot at night but it was manageable. The surrounding of the hotel is quite, secluded and located in a very upscale area of Berlin. Service is great and food is very good as well. All in all it was a very memorable vacation of 5 nights. In fact we were thinking of staying there for extra 3 nights instead of going to the centre of Berlin for the last days of our vacation.

The staff (reception and hotel bar) in the hotel would have earned one more star. Very obliging !!!!
