Unexpected comfort
guggetravelon 28/02/2017 21:37After booking into the local youth hostel, to find it unoccupied and more cell like than a hostel, my wife insisted we find replacement lodgings. The Schweizerhaus was just down the road, so we booked in there. Considerably more than a youth hostel...but what a delightful difference! Lovely old post house, creaky floors, warm rooms, comfy beds, staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

662sangon 06/02/2017 13:56The hotel is very nice from the outside but also inside. You can see it is very old hotel with history the rooms are bug enought but the food can be better and also bigger possibilite of choosing meals. Staff are good.

Cornettarobertoon 20/02/2016 19:24i spend two nights at the hotel. asked for a single room they told they had available a double room. i took it at full charge. they assured me they had wifi pretending the room was equipped with wifi. but no true. i called the manager, he was rude and yelling promising he was going to do his best. finally admitted the room does not have signal. i complained again but he disappeared. horrible smell from the kitchen. stayed other times in other two hotels in maloja. people very friendly they help with luggage and wi fi works.

Phil Gon 22/09/2015 00:00We had decided to add a couple days on the front side of our European vacation and chose Switzerland and ultimately Hotel Schweizerhaus in Maloja to be near the Bernina Express to get us over the Alps. We were delighted with our stay at the hotel where we were greeted warmly and attentively by the staff of the hotel and restaurant. Our room was generously sized and perfectly prepared. The restaurant was very good and local specialties were suggested and appreciated. The hotel staff helped us by providing a map and orienting us to the mountain trails with suggested routs. The hike was spectacular. We will return for a lengthier stay in the future.
