Nice, clean hotel

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant surprise. The location is good if you want to see Xiamen (which is worth seeing), The staff are friendly and helpful throughout - though their knowledge of English is limited.

Our room was spacious, well-furnished and clean. The Wifi-signal was strong. And there was a plate with different types of fruit waiting for us.

Having a (buffet-) meal at their restaurant is not easy, as it is never clear which restaurant is open (if one is open) and when. But the food they offer is quite good - including a lot of fresh seafood. [And there is quite a number of restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel, should you want to eat elsewhere.]

The breakfast is very much on the 'Chinese side', but offers a certain range of Western foods as well.

We were quite satisfied with our stay at this hotel.

Clean but no English speaking

Rooms are clean. Receptionist actively suggested early check-in for us upon our early arrival. We booked online and requested for non-smoking rooms. Maybe cos we wrote in English, they couldn't get the message. (Receptionist were non English speaking) Luckily, we requested at reception again and they could arrange immediately. We were a family of five and booked 2 twin bed rooms with an additional bed. Rooms were still spacious.

Breakfast provided different variety of choices, but we saw a staff filled pineapple with bare hands. I dare not to eat so much at last.

During our recent family vacation to Xiamen, we stayed in this 4-star state-owned hotel from 30 Mar to 2 Apr 2016 (4 nights). The hotel provided complimentary limousine services to and from Xiamen Qaoqi International Airport. We booked the Connecting Room A with two superior rooms connected. My first impression of this hotel is their service quality which is rated at a high of 8/10. From the bell hop to the restaurant manager, each of these service providers extended a service level which is remarkably impressive. We would like to single out Miss Sherry Wei, Assistant Manager, for special mention. Her dedication and customer orientation is superb, taking care of our needs and requests diligently; and always with a cheerful disposition.

Location wise, the hotel is situated 20 minutes from the airport, 5 minutes from the Railway station, and 10 minutes from the ferry terminal (to Gulangyu Island). It is within walking distance to Walmart, McDonald and other eateries as well as medical shops. The shopping district of Zhongsan Lu is also about 10 minutes’ drive away. There is also a Spa facility located next to the hotel which is operated by third-party.

We were also impressed by the overall cleanliness of the hotel as well as the two adjoining rooms. The corridors were spacious and bright. Fresh fruits were served daily to our rooms which came with two LCD TVs, a safe, fridge and a bathtub. All lights and other utilities including portable heaters were in working conditions.

Finally, we were very happy with the complimentary buffet breakfast throughout our entire stay. Besides serving the local dishes such as porridge, noodles, tim sum, pork ribs and beef, many types of delicious vegetables and soup, there was also a generous spread of salads and fresh fruits. Compared to other buffet breakfasts in hotels in other Chinese cities which we have stayed, the buffet breakfast provided by Seashine Palace is a class above. Good value for money and I will definitely stay in this hotel in my next trip to Xiamen.

Great Location

We spent 5 nights here in early 2013. The hotel is well kept, clean, tidy and a short walk to the shopping area. The staff are friendly and only too willing to help you out. The staff speak a little English which was very helpful. The food variety was good and the staff went out of their way to make a great coffee. Overall a great experience.

Really nice deluxe room, clean, free wifi, nice and comfortable stylish bed, even looks quite romantic, not much window view though because of location of this hotel. If youre looking for pleasant hotel and youre ok with getting bus or taxi to most interesting places then Seashine Hotel is definitely suitable for you.
