Fantastic Hotel
Toni Mon 03/07/2017 23:39This hotel is fab, modern, design led but also with great size rooms and fantastic service. Dined in the restaurant for breakfast which was fantastic quality and executed to a high standard. Bar and staff were exemplary with fantastic views and seating areas to match. Room was a really good size, bed was high quality as was bedding and furnishings. Loved the air conditioning and balcony. Great quality toiletries in room. Free parking a massive boon in Brighton. Marina is an easy base- but the local area could do with some improvement and I hope Malmaison will lead the revolution there. Fantastic stay
Nice location but overpriced
JoeDavon 02/07/2017 22:47Stayed here in a double club room with seaview. Make sure you ask for higher level view as I was on the reception floor and was limited sea view and shared terrace.
The hotel has undergone a massive change since its Seattle days and looks a lot better.
I feel the room was very overpriced at £200 per night as was just a large double including no perks or breakfast. It didn't even include water, so there is still a way for the hotel to go to get up to a standard where people would come back.... I had 2 rooms and probably would look elsewhere in Brighton for a better deal next week.
The saving grace was David Butler who was excellent as meet and greet, and made us feel very welcome.
I noticed there were a lot of people complaining as I left and lots of refunds being made.
If you want VIP clients paying the VIP prices, the hotel needs to offer a better service.
Unbearably noisy and tiny rooms
nickcambridgeon 01/07/2017 14:45Impossible to find with no signposting. Even when you by chance see a sign to go the 6th floor of a multi story car park there are no signs as to where to go. It is in the middle of the Marina which is basically cheap fast food chains and a prevailing smell of fried food. Arrived to noise from the bar so loud the only way to communicate was by writing on a pad of paper as you couldn't hear anything. The room overlooking the roof of a ?fast food outlet was very small but comfortable. Mean provision of only coffee for one person despite this being booked as a double.

Whareveron 28/06/2017 23:40Awful! At Glyndebourne for three nights and staying here as a treat for my husband's birthday (usual stay somewhere closer to Glyndebourne). Room tiny. Paid extra for seaview, very narrow view with work men outside door all morning. Staff inattentive - talk to each other while you queue at reception. And to cap it all having to have complimentary drink in bar after 11pm as we have returned to a room that still hasn't been made up!

Catherine Mon 27/06/2017 21:46The room was nice and clean a little small but good, location good for marina it was about 30 min walk to town and not signed so it certainly wasn't obvious to walk across Asda car park lol. We didn't eat so can't comment in food too many eateries around it an excellent choice. Parkngs good free, drinks were average priced cheaper in the weatherspoons nearby. Disappointed that check in was delayed an hr but they did give a complimentary drink as a sorry. Good if you don't want to be central we walked in each day and then stayed at hotel area at night to chill in an evening
