A 4 night stay in May 2017
Barbara Bon 09/06/2017 10:35A family run hotel on the edge of Lake Brienze in Boenigen, a 10 minute free bus ride from Interlaken. Swiss Chalet like hotel with original wooden balconies overlooking the lake & mountains. Spotlessly clean with tasteful decoration including updated original furniture and shower room with everything one needs.
We chose Half Board on booking and, wow, were we pleased we did; the 4 course evening meals were home cooked and delicious. Healthy breakfast with everything we could want with cooked food on request, which we did not need!
Owners & staff are friendly and very helpful, giving us good advice on activities in order to make the most of our short 4 night break.
We plan to return and will stay longer as it is a lovely quiet place to be based with stunning views across lake & mountains with easy access to bus and trains in Interlaken.

CatieGuideon 30/05/2017 20:28We first went to this hotel on our honeymoon and returned 25yrs later, reliving some lovely memories as part of our silver celebrations. (We did let the hotel know this but no mention of this at all during our stay). Like us, the hotel had got a little larger with extensions and more rooms but roughly the same and the warm welcome after our long journey was nice. Only staying half board we simply made use of the breakfast facilities which served us well. Room was spacious, beds comfy and we managed to keep cool - exceptionally hot weather during our stay this time, making use of the balcony. Just a thought to the owners-I totally understand you need the coach tours and large parties but perhaps keep them inside for the breakfast time.. we were awoken several times over our stay to this noise which spoilt our stay somewhat. A good trip down memory lane and this lovely area of Switzerland.
Seehotel - a lovely family run hotel in beautiful surroundings

Sat next to a lake and surrounded by mountains, the hotel's location and setting is simply breath taking. The hotel is family run (two generations) and I was made to feel so welcome and at home. The food was lovely, my room/en suite spotlessly clean and spacious. Nothing was too much trouble for the Budds and the service always came with a splash of humour! Absolutely recommend it to anyone, whether you're a couple, a family or a group of friends. I cannot wait to go back in the summer with my 7 year old son. Thank you Damian and Sandra

Located in front of lake which attract you it has very beautiful view but you must book lake view
It is good for relaxation
There is no activities around
Breakfast is very poor
Hotel is little bit away from restaurants and shopping
Hotel rated 3 stars but I rated 1 star hotel
I don't recommend it
Crew trying to do their best
In conclusion it is boring

Matthew Mon 20/11/2016 19:11What an amazing location for a friendly and welcoming hotel! Skiing not far away and a view over the lake. Nothing is too much trouble for the family which run the Seehotel, whatever time of day or night. Thoroughly recommended for families, couples and friends.
