Our favourite destination for a wonderful restful holiday

We retuned to the Hotel Seiler au Lac after a few years of absence to find that we once again arrived as guests and left as friends. The Zingg-Dinkel family, Rosemary, Ewin and Stefan gave 100% of their time and attention to make our stay exceed all expectations. We had a perfect room over-looking the lake where we enjoyed relaxing after our trips out. The staff all follow the example set by the family and helped to make our stay absolutely perfect. The breakfasts set us up for he day and it was always good to be able to look forward to our dinners in the evening which were always beautifully cooked and pesented. Thank you, Rosemary, Ewin and Stefan and all your staff for a wonderful time. John and Rosemary

Today my wife and I checked out of the hotel Seiler au Lac in Bonigen Switzerland. It had been several years since I was in Switzerland and my wife was never there so we wanted to see the beauty of this country

I could not have selected a better hotel. A wonderful location on the lake, a beautiful hotel with an exceptionally friendly staff.

Our room overlooking the lake was beautiful and ivery clean and comfortable. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the beauty of Interlaken Switzerland

Great view, lovely management, great for swimmers

Genuinely hospitable management. Suberb views. Great for swimming - either at the extremely close-by 25 meter public pool (with lake access) (6 SF) or indeed in the lake (just next to trailer park) which was 19 degrees in early June, so completely doable (don't swim in the fast-running, brown river). Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. A bus every 30 minutes right in front of hotel means you don't need a car. The only unpleasant thing was smelling people's cigarette smoke from adjacent balcony wafting into our room.

This hotel could not be in a better location for views of the lake, however there is little more to offer in Boenigen. There are less than a handful of bars / restaurants in town and whilst the hotel offers both you may want more choice?

The hotel to UK taste may well be a little dated, the decor and the Clown figures around the place an acquired taste. It is handy for a stop over en route to Italy or elsewhere but not somewhere to stay more than a night or two.

The room whilst large with a balcony (and thank you for the upgrade) did not have AC and was terribly hot despite it being east facing. (no fan was in room as was advertised on a booking site).

Breakfast was an extra charge, and I personally find that difficult to justify and the room was not particularly cheap.

It does not appear to have a lot of staff and whilst all the team were friendly and helpful they were often difficult to locate.

Enjoyed my stay very much. The staff were friendly and the meals they prepared for our group were outstanding. Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Would encourage anyone looking for a hotel in this area to stay here.
