Nice Place to stay

Shivankar Son 25/08/2017 16:13

Nice location near to Park street and main road to all the locations to see. I was there on a business trip so morning breakfast and evening stay in room are the main reasons I would stay in a hotel which both are good there.
Nice staff and clean room is a thumbs up for this hotel.

Average hotel

Stayed in #705, average room, requires normal maintenance. Average buffet breakfast, cleanliness is a issue in Toilets & washroom area. Booked this room for a night for only ₹1160/- from Goibibo, otherwise no point in staying in this place.

Good service

The hotel is conveniently located on Cammac street . The rooms are not too big but clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful.Room service is quick.

The breakfast area is a bit small and there can definitely be an improvement in the spread. Food taste can be better too.

A comfortable stay but definitely scope to improve!

This is a Good Hotel and in surroundings lot of tasty street feed is available and this is in a area which is well connected and no issue for local conveyance. this is good to stay for 2-3 days. Breakfast is Ok.

If I had a choice I wouldn't go there

3rd time I have stayed there, the 2nd and 3rd times under sufferance. For some bizarre reason, my Indian colleague insists on staying here when we visit Kolkata. The first time, a couple of years ago, I was dismayed when we arrived, but thought, oh well, it's a one off, for 2 nights, what the hell. I didn't want to upset him, but it was pretty dire.

The 2nd time I hoped, before arriving in the city, that we would be somewhere else. We weren't and I mentioned that I wasn't particularly happy. But, given the circumstances, what could I do?

The 3rd time I told him that if we were booked into this hotel, I would look for somewhere else. However, we arrived at around 1.30am after a couple of exhausting days and, frankly, any bed was welcome - until I got into this one. It was cold and clammy!! Horrific, but given I had 5 hours sleep before we were up and off again, I put up with it.

The hotel is old, clapped out and not particularly clean. Having stayed in some very nice Indian hotels, I know that standards can be much higher, for not many more rupees per night.

I can't think of a good reason to stay here, unless you are in a very tight budget.
