kawitherson 06/07/2017 17:50My boyfriend and I came to Berlin for a romantic Summer holiday. We really enjoyed our one week stay at the Albergo. The reception staff were lovely and helpful, and luckily for us spoke good English! The rooms are clean and really nicely decorated in a kind of Grecian/Italian style, the bathroom is reasonably sized with a large shower and we were really happy to see that we had a fridge to store our own food and drinks in. We were eligible for a free breakfast every morning in a nice dining area and the variety of foods available was very good. The hotel is located a 2 minute walk from Fehrbelliner Platz U-bahn station (U7 and U3) so it is quick and easy to access the centre and other areas of the city, though usually requiring a change at Wittenburgplatz (the centre of West Berlin). We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel!
A terrible place
Nicolas Pon 20/05/2017 12:38This hotel is to be avoided. Not a clean place, needs urgent renovation. Front desk staff is not helpful and not willing to give their name or to call a manager. There are many better hotels in Berlin in the same price range. The pictures online do not show the reality which I tried to depict with my own pictures here.
central hotel, good balance quality - price
sorinjollytravelleron 13/03/2017 22:11We booked 2 double rooms for my relatives in December 2016. The small hotel is close to Fehrbelliner Platz U7. The rooms are very clean, empire style decorated.
At the ground floor there is a Georgian Restaurant with good atmosphere and serves delicious food.

Stefan Con 18/02/2017 21:40We were very happy with our choice. It perfectly fit our needs as we spent most of the time visiting the city. Great bed and breakfast hotel. Furniture a little old but ok. There is noise from the street (bad soundproof) but we did not have any problem as we were very tired. The metro station is 2-3 minutes away . It takes approx 20-25 mins to get to any attraction in the city. The breakfast was amazing and unexpectedly there was some sort of variation. I would rate the breakfast as a 4 stars one(was not expecting to get salmon in a 3 stars hotel and there was, in the last day). Also, the coffee at the breakfast was pretty good. If you are going there for a city break or business (not looking to spend to much time in the hotel) and not wanting to spend to much this might be the perfect choice. All you have to do is to expect some minuses related to the price you pay.
Tips: they also have bicycles for rental (12 or 13 euro/day) ; also I would recommend looking at berlin welcome card for tranportation/discounts in the city atteactions; also you might consider visiting Potsdam - impressive attractions - it takes ~50 minutes to get there by train(included in the C transportation area of the Berlin Welcome card)
We will probably choose this hotel again if we travel to Berlin.
Meets Expectations
Cholupoon 02/02/2017 15:56When you choose a value hotel like this, you can expect what you get at Albergo. The building is old but well maintained. Rooms have good size. The one I had in 1st floor had a balcony with chairs outside. Furniture could be in better condition with small investment. Bed is standard, matress condition could be better. Private bathroom with all basics. House keeping has room for improvement (not very careful). WiFi connection is good. Small fridge in the room.There is a subway station one block away which easily allow you to get to all points of interest. Breakfast is included which is a plus being an economic hotel. The food is pretty decent. In summary, good cost/quality balance
