Having stopped for only one night last year and loved this little posada we decided to stay for 3 nights this time, to allow us to relax and explore the surroundings. We had the room La Cambra, the largest. It is a beautiful room with a huge, comfortable bed, lace edged bed linen and towels and, best of all a private balcony overlooking the lake and mountains. We spent some time there in the afternoons sitting reading or bird spotting in total silence. Daniel and Lucia are great hosts, so keen to be hospitable and so proud of their hotel. Lucia changes the table napiery and china/glasses every day and has a lovely eye for design - the lounges feel just like home. She is the knowledgeable sommelier too. Daniel is a fabulous cook (despite his promises we never got a pizza!). Breakfasts and dinners are a feast for the eyes and stomach; I cannot say enough good things! One day we did the walk up the hill and around the village (2 hrs going slowly). There are great views and opportunities for eagle/vulture spotting. At the end of the walk we had some lunch in the other restaurant in the village - this too was good. We spent time in nearby Ainsa and had a thrilling drive into the Pyrenees through the Anisclo canyon, encountering a herd of sheep en route. It would be easy to spend a week at Posada al Vent, especially if you like hiking. We were sad to leave Daniel and Lucia, they are such lovely people, and have promised to return. We wish them buen suerte y hasta la proxima vez!

Very nice place, good food, quiet and stylish. Old house, nice couple running this place. Now 5 rooms, will be doubled in due time.terrace outsider with view, mountainbike and lake in the neighbourhood.
One of the best places we stayed!

The perfect hotel! Situated in a very small village on top of a hill with great views of surrounding hills and the lake. The house is very old, but completely redone and restyled. There are a few rooms and especially the one with the balcony/terrace is magnificent. The owners are very friendly and helpful.
What makes this place really stand out is the fantastic cooking! Breakfast is a delight. No do-it-yourself-buffet with bad coffee, but beautiful little dishes, served one at a time, with fresh fruit and great coffee or tea (see picture). Dinner is – if possible – even better. Star quality for a reasonable price.
Unfortunately we could only stay for one night and not in the room with the balcony, so we will have to return!
A wonderful escape from everything!

This beautifully restored house, now a hotel is probably one of the loveliest places I have stayed. It's beatifully restored, classy and modern. It's set in a remote village completely off the beaten track. If you need to have a total break away from a hectic life then I would recommend this haven of tranquility. The rooms are fitted with everything you need and unlike big city hotels every single thing has been personally chosen and decorated by the couple that run the place. And it's beautiful. Lucia and Daniel are both friendly and welcoming. They have good English which I was grateful for as my Spanish is shameful. Daniel cooks beautiful food. I felt like I was a taster on master chef. Fresh tasty food and all presented so beautifully I was momentarily in awe at each course. A wonderful experience all round. I felt so refreshed after staying here. Add to that the beautiful mountains you can spend a day or two driving through and the pretty town of Ainsa only ten mins away and it's a real get away. The room we had had a huge bed and a view of the mountains. The bathroom had a lovely shower and everything you might need. I would definitely revisit this wonderful place again. Lucia and Daniel really make you feel special and I'm so glad we booked. My only tiny negative is that the wifi is pretty unreliable if you have to be connected. However I didn't care and found it added to the feeling of getting away from everything for a few days. Go before everyone finds out about it....
A charming hotel, full of character and in a lovely location

We had a deluxe double room which had a terrace overlooking the mountains. It was delightful, with an almost medieval castle like feel to it, which the website photos didn't do justice to. The character of the hotel continued in the comfortable public rooms and the restaurant, which served very good home cooked meals. A great find.
