Perfect for us!
Edel Mon 19/07/2017 23:12We've just returned from a 10 night stay at the Servatur Green beach and had such a great holiday. Newly refurbished apartments are well laid out with that amazing view, to watch the sunset from the balcony does the soul good! There are two things I judge a hotel room on 1. comfort of the bed and 2. the water pressure in the shower both at Servatur Green Beach rate as 10 out of 10. We probably were the only Irish family but we didn't mind that at all. Kids loved the pool. The free wifi is a bonus. We have friends in nearby Arguineguin so it was ideal for us. Polite staff but there was a slight lack of communication in relation to just some general information. If there was a booklet in the room, I didn't come across it. I would have loved if the pool bar had a few local dishes on the menu and if there was air-con or ceiling fan in the rooms it would get full marks for us. But these are just little things and I would have no hesitation recommending these apartments and will definitely return.
Fantastic hotel (If you are Scandinavian)
cc1022016on 05/06/2017 14:34We stayed for two weeks at the beginning of May. The hotel is spotless and the apartments are stylish, excellently equipped and very comfortable, with views to die for!! Getting up each day to sit on a balcony overlooking the ocean is spectacular (we were on the 6th floor) Took a while to get used to the upside down layout (the entrance is on the 8th floor) The only drawback was that this hotel is predominately occupied by Scandinavians (we met one other British couple), so everything is geared towards the Scandinavian clientele - all message boards, entertainment, excursion details, instructions, etc; were in Dutch/Finnish/Norwegian or whichever. Also most (apart from 3) restaurants within Patlavaca shut down from May to October (when the Scandinavians return) so the choice of eateries within the area is very limited (we did find a very nice, friendly restaurant called Fernandos a couple of minutes walk away) The local supermarkets are close by and cater for whatever you may need but the actual supermarket within the hotel was dismal. Arguineguin and Anfi are approx. a 20 m walk along the coast and the glass bottomed ferries are cheap and allow you to visit Puerto Rico, Puerto de Mogan (a really pretty place) plus Arguineguin and Anfi. Staff at the hotel were very good, the pool and gardens are kept beautifully. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and didn't mind not being able to socialize because of the language barrier. We found that there was not a lot to do and hardly any excursions (apart from boats - although we did go on one spectacular Dolphin sighting tour on a boat called Spirit of the Sea, which only cost 27 euros each and we were surround by in excess of 200 dolphins which was amazing !) Would we stay again - Yes most definitely (if even just for the view) it was relaxing, hassle free and we were delighted with the hotel.
Green beach
Alison Gon 17/05/2017 22:11Lovely hotel. Staff kind, helpful and proffesional. Excellent location next to beach. Beach lovely. Visit jukebox, lovely bar. Don't forget to go to gormans bar in Arguinigan for live music and friendly people and great food.
Great location, but not a British area.
morrimail28on 04/05/2017 12:35Excellent location just yards from the sea. Rooms newly renovated throughout, offering good facilities should you choose to eat in. Full size fridge freezer, so you can have ice cream any time. We came late April, early May and were surprised to learn that we were the only British guests staying here, not only in this accommodation but also the surrounding area too. Apparently this hotel caters for the Scandinavian market, the room TV had no English channels apart from one channel for CNN news, the entertainment program was in Scandinavion, music, dancing and keep fit, nothing in English. The information boards in reception were all in Scandinavian, so we felt very isolated. The general area just outside the hotel, bars, restaurants, doctors, etc mostly Scandinavian. Perhaps in high season - July and August more British arrive. Shame because this is a lovely part of the lsland.
Romantic!!! Great view, great beds
Douglas Mon 12/04/2017 22:57A relaxing 7 night stay. Good breakfast and fantastic room service. 7th floor is a must, great bus connections so avoid the holiday company's 40 € when you only need 7€. Perfect place as a base, great restaurants near by, cribs pirate is only 50m away, 5 star meals....... great hotel, recommend it to anyone, drawback? Swedish dance music!!!!! Not in Spain please
