Unique lodging experience in 1870's home
mauimatt0613on 08/06/2017 15:00Awesome bed & breakfast. Very possibly most delicious breakfasts I've ever had. Julia room bed needs replacing. Also has pool that didn't use. Great central location near St. George Blvd. First bed and breakfast experience, would do again!
Great property in perfect location
denamellandon 29/05/2017 22:01During our trip to Zion, we chose to stay at the inn in the Ada Cottage. The privacy and cleanliness was just what we were looking for. There was absolutely no noise Friday or Saturday night which allowed for great sleep.
Both nights we were there we walked to nearby restaurants and spent some time walking through the historic neighborhood. One evening we joined local families at a movie in the park.
We could not have asked for a nicer staff. They were so helpful and eager to make our stay perfect. We will definitely stay here again.
The Jane's standard room was disappointing, but the breakfast made up for it!
Ken Oon 17/05/2017 03:29While the room was clean, it was located in the attic. The shower is a converted claw bathtub; be very careful climbing in or out. Due to the sloped ceiling, you can't stand up to pee. This room is not a good choice for seniors.
The queen bed was too firm. My wife slept in the twin and said it was fine. The AC worked very well, a pleasant surprise.
Charming and peaceful
swhchurchon 10/05/2017 05:22We stayed a night in St. George during the very busy weekend of the St. George Triathlon. The Seven Wives was an oasis for us. We arrived late in the day, after a hard day of travel, and the innkeeper immediately offered us an upgraded room at no charge and made us feel so welcome! Our upgraded room had a lovely balcony that we enjoyed before going off to dinner. We about the history of the inn, which was fascinating, and also learned that it was the first B&B in Utah! In the morning, we had a delicious breakfast of a scrambled egg crepe before departing. The house is in a beautiful neighborhood across the street from Brigham Young's winter home. We walked the grounds of the home before departing, as it didn't open until 11:00.
Change of Pace
Russell Lon 08/05/2017 17:32This was a couples visit during the STG Ironman event; taking a break from chain hotels. The location is excellent, walking distance to great food and town square. The Ada Cottage was secluded, private, and quiet. Everything was clean and well kept. The cookies are amazing. Service was excellent. Wifi was fast and reliable. The house is quaint, and everything you'd want it to look like. Overall it was very good. However, these are the items that kept it from being excellent. The bed was a little saggy, there was one small bar soap for the entire bathroom (none in shower or tub), and the A/C wasn't really up to the task of keeping the room cool on a 100 degree day. And after all the talk about the granola, the parfait had about a teaspoon of it, so we're really unsure of its greatness. All said, a couple of easy tweaks would make this an excellent place.
