Wonderful stay!
Shawn Lon 21/11/2016 23:57Lovely pond house cabin, where we stayed. I didn't want to leave. The roomy kitchen allowed us to make a group meal instead of having to get fast food. Lovely porch and enjoyed Pogo's visit. The location was was a tranquil location. I would definitely stay again if I'm out that way.
A different kind of bed and breakfast--you will love it
Nancy Don 21/11/2016 03:50We rented the pond house cabin Nov 18. It is an 800 sq ft studio cabin with sleeping loft, full kitchen, queen bed downstairs, while in the lift is a double and 2 single beds. Plus the couch will open up. It has a full kitchen and a bathroom with endless hot water heater. Across the entire length of the cabin is a screened porch with picnic tables and several relaxing chairs. It has 3 ceiling fans. WE are supper out there and were joined by one of the resident cats POGO who is either a main coon or a manx. WE love cats and he wanted to come on the porch. SO we got our cat fix.
Inside is a fireplace with a very unique mantel. A pool table too.
There is a catch and release pond right outside the cabin with a nice dock but we did not do any fishing. There are goats to see penned up nearby.
We had 5 adults and were had adequate space.
In the morning we simply walked over to the back patio of the big house for breakfast. We were served organic waffles, homemade whipped cream, blueberry compete using berries our hostess had picked herself and fresh pineapple chunks.
We waddled away from breakfast completely full and with a happy tummy.
This is my kind of bed and breakfast. Loved the cabin on the pond and would love to stay here again.
Surprise in rural georgia

Like Being at Home...But More Relaxing
Paula Non 09/07/2016 13:56I have stayed in many bed and breakfast homes and this is truly a home away from home. We have stayed twice now and will again at the end of the week. We have a 2 day trip between our homes in South Florida and the Georgia Mountains and will never again, if possible, stay in a hotel along I-75 as long as Margaret and Hank have a room or the cabin available. Margaret's breakfasts are awesome and she is so accommodating. Also if you are up early enough you can watch Hank bring in produce he just picked out of the garden. So restful from evening to morning. Many areas to relax and just enjoy the peaceful setting.
Tranquil & Beautiful
catherine mon 22/06/2016 11:10We visited for just 1 night (we should have stayed much longer) on a road trip last year!
Hank and Margaret so welcoming and made us feel right at home!
We stayed in the huge pond house which is one of the most impressive places I have ever stayed!
The grounds are very impressive - my other half enjoyed a tour of the whole grounds on a quad with the owners' son-in-law and we spent the afternoon wandering around, enjoying sitting by the lake and playing with their dogs.
It's impossible not to relax here!
Hank set up a bonfire by the pond for us and we enjoyed the evening getting to know the family sitting by the fire (warning: if you're prone to mosquito bites, they WILL get you here!)
Breakfast was fantastic - a proper home cooked meal enjoyed with the family over nice conversation and truly delicious food. It's so nice to get a taste of local life.
