What People are saying

Fantastic apartment in a great location

Sazizzyon 10/05/2017 00:03

We had a great stay at Shama Central, our apartment was perfect for our 4 night break on the way to Koh Samui. We usually stay in the Peninsula hotel, but this trip we wanted to feel like we lived in HK and we did. The apartments are in a great location, in all the hustle and bustle, close to the escalator and some fantastic restaurants. The facilities in the apartment were perfect for us, it was bigger that we expected, and the bed was so comfortable. It wasn't super luxury, but it was very comfortable. We will definitely be staying again. I highly recommend Shama.

Huge and clean service apartment

Booked a one bedroom luxury apartment here and was surprised to see how big the room was. Has a very small kitchenette, very sizeable dinning and living area and a big bathroom. The bedroom was just right and the bed was comfy. Only gripe I had was the lack of power sockets and that the bathtub looked old and toilet flush wasnt working as well as I expect it to be. Other than that, it's a decent place.

My Home in Hong Kong!

This is about the tenth time I've stayed in Shama Central. I travel a fair bit and, in the cities I visit regularly, I prefer to stay in a serviced apartment than in a hotel. Serviced apartments are cheaper than hotels of a similar quality, you have a larger space and a small kitchen and you don't pay for things you don't use (as in a hotel).

This time, I stayed in a studio apartment - more than enough space for one person.

The place is located within easy walking distance to the MTR and the Central Escalator. It is clean, secure and comfortable - that's all I ask and that's what the place provides. The bathroom is large and the shower is huge with great water pressure.

Two things have changed since my last visit - they now provide you with a free cell phone which gives you unlimited free local calls and internet. They also seem to have upgraded their internet Wi-Fi system. Of all the places that I've ever stayed, the Wi-Fi in this place is the fastest I've ever experienced - no buffering, no delays - just fast!

Good location and nice sized room

Good value apartment/room in an atmospheric area. Pity it was so noisy on a Saturday night. (Quitened about 1.45am.) OK on Sunday. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Good coffee and cookies in reception.

Stay here

Hong Kong provides a lot of options for accommodation but if you are looking for a place in Soho Shama Central is the best option:

+ location is perfect to explore one of the most lively areas of Hong Kong
+ close to the Escalator
+ they upgraded us to a bigger apartment, with a full living room, a separate kitchenette and a large bedroom with ensuite. I loved this apartment.
+ the hotel provides guests with Handy, a smartphone that you can take with you as you are visiting the town. it has free internet connection and free phone calls to Macau, Hong Kong and some other cities nearby
+ finally some black out curtains that live up to their name!

Only note worth making: the aircon would provide heating only in the living room, the element in the bedroom was only making cold air
