We stayed here for a few nights in a private room,The room was clean and the bed was comfortable,we were given 2 free bottles of water every day and there's a free breakfast as well,The hostel is close to a metro stop and the staff were nice and friendly.Also the bar offers pretty good deals as well. Would recommend.

We stayed for four nights. Very close to a metro station. Only one stop to people's park / nanjing rd.
The bar offered cheap drinks, the wifi was only okay and tv had lots of channels.
We had a private en suite room. Great for hostel prices. The room was serviced every day with fresh towels and two bottles of water provided. The room was spacious and warm. I would return if ever back in Shanghai

I've stayed in this hostel twice for couple of days each a few weeks apart.
First time: front desk was a boy very rude and not helpful. Dorm room was nice and roomy good design.
Second time: front desk person was changed, nice helpful girl. But the dorm is tiny this time not so comfy.
General: close to subway. Nice bar friendly bartenders and chef. Awesome breakfast my favorite.The shared bathroom was clean and roomy. It's sweet that they provide shower gel, tissue papers, hand wash, hot and room temperature water. Also they have a stable wifi, a fridge, a microwave, an elliptical and an average lounge.
I will go back for my third time if I have the chance.

I stayed at the Shanghai SOHO for a couple of nights and I really enjoyed the place. I had a spacious double room with ensuite. The hostel is a stroll away from people park and many restaurants. Recommended

I'm not usually one to leave reviews but felt inclined due to our experience here. The location is sweet, it's close to a metro and in what felt like a safe area. Unfortunately our room was gross smelt like mould which you could actually see growing throughout the walls in our room. Bathroom was tiny but that may be OK to Chinese standards for a hostel of that price. There was a metro under our room which didn't effect us because we sleep like rocks. If your a light sleeper it will suck stops at 11pm starts at 5am.
Price was reasonable we paid about 450yuan for double private for 2nights . However staff were not friendly to us, could be due to the language barrier as we were the only non Asian there which I understand.
Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.
