I recently spent two nights here with my 80+ year old mother and 70+ year old aunt. The hotel is within walking distance of the Confucius Temple and across the river from the Confucius Cultural Garden. Besides all the modern facilities and elegant Asian decor, it also has nice outdoor ground area by the river. But the best of the hotel is its friendly staff and impeccable service. Everybody we met during our stay were cheerful and helpful. The tour guide it recommended was also professional, patient and even helped me carry my mother's wheelchair up and down stairs during our 4-hour tour. I highly recommend this hotel to anybody who plans a trip to Qufu. It certainly made our Qufu trip all the more enjoyable.

A five-star hotel, which is conveniently located and surrounded with shops and eating places. It offers various eastern and western styles of breakfast. A room we stayed in for two days, was spacious & clean with comfortable bed. We also made use of its facilities like spa, swimming pool , gym and enjoyed it very much.

Just finished a side trip to Qufu on a friends recommendation and stayed at the only true five star hotel within hundreds and hundreds of miles. Amazing. Hotel also arranged a tour for me of home of Confuscious and also Taishan mountains (one of the five great mountains of china) and I was blown away by the hospitality and friendliness. Tour guide was a male who spoke perfect English. Mountains were incredible and breathtaking. Only 1.5 hours from hotel in a nice luxury sedan with no traffic. History of the world. And in Qufu is where Confuscious' home was and the temples and monuments and 2000 year old trees that are still alive to this date were amazing. Make the trip. You just need three days for a once in a life time trip. And their hotel was amazing along with incredible pool, gym and great massages.

Qufu does not have a lot of foreign influence but this was a very pleasant stay.
Staff was very happy to help and spoke good English. Rooms were at the high standard you expect from shangri-la brand.
Dinner buffet was good but not a lot of foreign food options.
