Great experience
Ann Hon 15/07/2017 10:31Visited here last winter to watch Turandot and as proud parents of a member of the orchestra really enjoyed ourselves. The theatre is amazing with great views of the stage and a lovely cafe downstairs. Will be visiting again
The play's the thing
ruffanreddyon 12/07/2017 00:52Everything is Possible was community theatre at its best and is what our York Theatre has always done so very well. We went on its world premier opening night which felt very special. We chose seats at the side with nobody next to us so we had arm space even if still little leg room. You didn't notice the hard seats so much with such an excellent play. I still prefer it as it was, but the theatre performances here are generally as good as I have seen anywhere. Forget the new foyer and bar area, the play is still the thing and the best reason to come here!
Snake Davis Rocks
SJS240on 07/07/2017 23:56Snake and the band rocked out another great gig, at a venue that we'd not been to since it's revamp.
As a venue it's quite impressive with good acoustics. Down side is that front 5 or 6 rows are not tiered so if you get sat behind a self indulgent obese monster with a huge square head a normal person can't see much. (I'd make them sit at the back or in a box). Still refreshments were reasonably priced. Overall a good night out

Free dance routine, and a nice cafe
john gon 10/06/2017 22:45We were looking for something to do, and this was near our hotel. We walked in, and they had a Shakespeare play, and a free dance recital. We choose the dance, what a treat. 7/7 The Dance of Life in Seven Steps. The playhouse looks brand new
